Starting Our Podcast Marketing - Getting Geeky with Gamer Leaf

Everyone,

If you want to hear more about Totally Medieval, behind the scenes, and the mission of our company then I have a great podcast for you to subscribe.  We were just interviewed by Getting Geeky with Gamer Leaf last Friday and it is just about to go live. In this interview, he interrogates us (in the best of ways) and gets down to our mission and our influence in the future gamification of the education system, which includes a new after-school activity program almost ready to debut around the United States.

In my study of brain science, I have found that there is no better way for a student to learn than through gamification and not through video games but physical games. Did you know that physical games are almost twice as effective in retaining educational information than video games. This comparison stems from the fact that video games use only 1-2 senses of the human body while physical, tactile games use 3+ (sight, hearing, and touch). The more senses that are used in a game, the more active your brain is and the more likely it is to pick up on the information in the game and retain it. What if physical games were used in your learning, how much more would you learn.

If you add Mathematics Dice Cards, Totally Medieval turns into a fantastic fantasy game into an epic Math adventure. This is a completely separate tool (sold separately) to increase the interest in younger players to want to learn Math and increase their repetitious studies without thinking that it's teaching them.

Hope this gets you excited because we definitely are and can't wait to share more with you.

Thanks,

Zack Edwards
