Have you ever had a date that was so boring, simply because you had nothing in common?
Or have you ever tried the online dating world and had trouble striking up a conversation all because you knew nothing about the person in the profile picture?
Well at Geeks and Gamers you will be able to view users interests. Whether it be books, movies, music and of course any and all types of videogames, board games, card games or whatever your gaming style interests you have.
While I was in college, there were so many different groups of people hanging out in the student center playing different games, laughing and discussing what they were playing; they were building friendships, attractions and relationships with fellow gamers, book club friends, drama club, art majors etc.
I have a best friend that met her husband while playing magic the gathering, I asked her what attracted her to her now husband of five years; her answer? "He accepted me for the way I was and I him because we shared a passion for a card game"
As I started to think about this, I realized there are many people out there that don't get the chance to go to college, or have time for daily social activities.
So why not have something more accessible for the geek on the go, or the introverted gamer? A website could help cure the loneliness of all of the hurdles we go through trying to meet new people, who share the same interests.
The site would be completely free, unless members wanted to upgrade to a premium membership that would offer different threads, send a nerdy little gift to your online crush or future someone. Plus so many other fun ways to flirt while sharing the same or similar interests.
So as I've rambled on, I'm sure you caught the drift of our idea. The idea that will create friendships and relationships from the comfort of your living room, smartphone, or wherever you are always on the go to.
This is a campaign that, if fully funded; will add enjoyment and happiness to all of us Geeks and Gamers around the world. :-)
