WHAT IS 玉子 / 卵 / "TAMAGO" ?
Tamago means egg in Japanese. It is one of the key ingredients in Japanese cuisine. Tamago can be enjoy in many forms in Japan: raw, pickled, steamed, cooked and serve over rice, and a lot more ways to make delicious egg dishes.
Through TAMAGO Poster, I hope to spread traditional Japanese egg dishes to around the world so that we could all get a taste of authentic Japanese egg dishes even though most of us live outside of Japan.
It could be a delightful gift for a friend who loves egg, an inspirational egg guide for the kitchen wall, or simply a tasty Tamago poster in your dining room.
Since eggs are extremely healthy and nutritious, it is the one ingredient that I can always find in my fridge. From the top of my head, Tamago-yaki (Rolled Omelette) is often what I ended up making.
Overtime, I looked up and collected various types of egg-related Japanese recipes. As a result, I tried making traditional Japanese egg dishes such as Chawan-mushi (savory steamed egg in teacup), Japanese Pudding, Omurice (Omelette Rice), etc...
Since egg is such a versatile ingredient, it is a necessity for many typical dishes like Kara-age (Fried Chicken), Ton-katsu (Deep fried pork cutlet), Oyako-don (Chicken and egg rice bowl), and of course, that also includes desserts like Japanese cheesecake and sweet crepe!
All illustrations are drawn based on real food.

WHO'S THE DESIGNER?
My name is Fanny. I am a graphic designer who loves Japanese food. I write about my Japanese food experience around the world in a blog called Japanese Foodie. From as early as 2015, "The Ramen Poster" was my first Japanese food project on Kickstarter.
I continued with more graphic design works that relate to Japanese food later on. It includes "The Japanese Snack Poster", "The Ramen Poster 2.0", "The Ramen Stickers", "The Sushi Poster", etc. View the entire list of my creation on Kickstarter at: https://www.kickstarter.com/profile/fanny/created
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD
While I have limited power to share my project to the world, it is quite difficult to find Japanese food lovers around the world, sometimes with the barrier of language or limited access to certain media. I hope you can help out by simply sharing this project on your social media.
Your every "like," "share", or any types of support means a lot to me! It could be a little chat with your friend about this campaign, it could be spending fun time cooking an egg dish together, or even showing your peers with your phone directly while waiting in line for a movie. Thank you very much!
Risks and challenges
I have successfully funded 5 other Kickstarter projects and sent out all rewards to backers promptly. Even though this is an one-person project, I am glad to learn the entire process of creating something and encounter challenges from my earlier projects. My experience includes drawing simple designs to finishing products, managing printing production, and shipping out rewards.
After this project get funded, printed posters will be ready within two weeks after fund is transferred by Kickstarter. Then, it will be take around one week to pack and ship out all the rewards. Estimate delivery is August 2017.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
