Emily Lavin Leverett is a writer of fantasy, scifi, and horror and an editor of the same, plus a former-editor of erotica. She is a medievalist, though she teaches much more than just medieval lit, a hockey fan and a cat lover. Along with Misty Massey and Margaret McGraw, Emily edited The Weird Wild West and her first novel, Changeling's Fall, was just released from Falstaff Books.
Misty Massey is the author of Mad Kestrel, a rollicking adventure of magic on the high seas from Tor Books, and Kestrel's Voyages, a collection of short stories featuring those rambunctious pirates (available for the Kindle.) Her next novel. Kestrel's Dance, will be released in 2017 from LoreSeekers Press. She is a co-editor of The Weird Wild West anthology from Espec Books and a founding member of Magical Words, the well-known blog for and about writers (magicalwords.net). When she's not writing, Misty studies Middle Eastern Dance and performs at regional events as the opportunity arises.
Margaret McGraw writes fantasy and science fiction; blogs about prompt-writing, con reviews, and book reviews at WritersSpark.com; and edits fiction, academic and technical writing. Her imagination draws on her lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy, and anthropology. Her education and experience range from anthropology and communication through web design and IT management. Margaret lives in North Carolina with her daughter and an array of dogs, cats, Macs and PCs, and too many unfinished craft projects.

Falstaff Books is a digital and print publishing company based in Charlotte, NC dedicated to bringing to life the best in fantasy, science fiction, horror, mystery, and dramatic literature. We love bringing amazing stories to light and giving incredible writers a voice. The battered, ignored, rejected “misfit toys” of fiction are all welcome at Falstaff Books, where we understand that every scar is a story and only with different voices can harmony be created.

Risks and challenges
While we don't foresee any complications (who does, right?) there's always the chance that delivery of the book could face unexpected delays in the production process. Every effort will be made to have the books ready for release and in your hands by June 2017. Most of the stories are already in hand and being edited, which should help ease your fears. In the unlikely event that an author cannot deliver a story for whatever reason, their slot will be filled by an equally professional writer you're sure to appreciate. Everyone involved in the Lawless Lands project are professionals in the field, and we hold each other to the highest standards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
