Thanks!

Thanks again to all of you for supporting NNN Chapter 2 - Robots! By now all of you should have received your rewards in the mail. If you haven't, please email me at david@davidmpickett.com and let me know.

For those of you who didn't get a DVD as part of your reward tier, you can now buy a digital download of the film for just $1 on GumRoad

I am currently working on a second draft of the script for Chapter 3. Once I have more details to share, you all will be the first to know.

Thanks for your support,
David M Pickett

Rewards are shipping!

Huzzah!

I have begun packing up the rewards and will start shipping the first batch tomorrow. I am e-mailing everyone to confirm their mailing address (since some of you have moved since 2011), so be on the look out for that. It will probably take me few weeks to get everything mailed, but very soon you should all have your DVDs and other goodies in hand.

In case you missed it: The last segment of the Chapter 2 debuted on YouTube last weekend. The last group of $100 backers had their minifig cameos and Zundar and Leggsly smashed some pumpkins. Sometime after I finish shipping the rewards, I'll upload the full length version of "NNN Chapter 2: Robots!" to YouTube and share some facts and figure about how it was made (where money and time were spent, what went on behind the scenes, etc.).

Thanks as always for your tremendous patience!

"Chapter 2: Robots!" is done!

Posted by David M Pickett (Creator)

You read that right! After three years and over 340 hours of animation time, I have completed the second Chapter of the Nightly News at Nine! My heartfelt thanks to all of you for helping me get here! I will have the final DVDs in hand tomorrow.

Here's the last frame I animated:

Why yes, that is a dinosaur and a robot attacking some orange clothing. What else did you expect?

The final segment, "The Orange-Green War Continues" debuts on the NNN YouTube channel on June 22 at 8:30 am CDT. See what time that is in your time zone here: http://bit.ly/OvsGpart2

Okay, now let's talk about your rewards. If you happen to live in the Chicagoland area and are planning to attend Brickworld Chicago this weekend, just let me know and I'll have your rewards waiting for you at my booth. Otherwise, I am going to be working on packing up and shipping all the remaining rewards in the second half of June into July.

I realize that many of you may have moved since I initially sent out the backer surveys in April 2011. If you have a new address, please message me your updated mailing address so I can make sure everything gets to the right place.

Many thanks for your support and patience! Don't worry, I am already beginning to make plans for Chapter 3...

The end is in sight

The final segment is 70% animated! I am currently in overdrive mode to get it finished by next week. Then I will start building the DVDs and will finally be able to get you your rewards!

Please enjoy this sneak peek of the first clip of the character the Eye of Eyes. I originally hadn't planned to introduce her until Chapter 3, but as I rewrote "The Orange-Green War Continues" to incorporate the backer minifig cameos, I realized I had an opportunity to include her. She is the most painstaking character to animate, but it's worth the effort for the cool effects.

Thanks as always for your patience!

Police Show & Gearing up for the Final Segment

Posted by David M Pickett (Creator)

In case you missed it when it debuted in January, here is "Police Show Commercial."

Similar to the contests I hosted after the last three segments, I am currently holding an animation contest for people to create there own interpretation of Police Show. I'm looking forward to seeing what people create.

These are the last six backer minifigs who will have their cameos in the final segment, "The Orange-Green War Continues." I have the first week of April off from work and am planning to animate a significant portion of it then. If all goes according to plan the DVDs will (finally) be ready in early June.

Thanks as always for your patience!
