Just imagine having an adventure in a whole new fantasy realm, going through the unknown and being overwhelmed by fear, but always driving forward. This is the "Testament": To experience the real elements of survival in an unforgiving, dark fantasy world using cutting-edge game play mechanics.
The game is a new RPG, UE4-powered, that brings the gamers an apocalyptic world of curse and cause. It attempts to evolve things we love about the genre and to bring it into the future as a next generation title. We’ve all wanted a world that is intelligent and evolutionary, where we are a warrior of redemption, where the world needs a hero to be saved from dark. It`s the "TESTAMENT", and we`ve made it to be such: A new fantasy title of survival/horror RPG.
“Testament” tries to present you a unique definition of night and day.
The normal night and day cycles of the world of “Tessara” are doomed to oblivion from the day of darkness descent forward. Oddly, the splendid daylight yielded its home to a mundane and eerie peer, and once a prosperous land sank into self-alienation and madness.
Playing testament, and walking through the lands, you will experience many surprising encounters with the beings in the world of “Tessara”. While Some seem friendly and frank, others hide their schemes behind their hospitality and there are monsters seeing you as a prey, by the way!
When playing in the daylight of “Tessara”, it feels like you`re a stranger in a mad world. The sky color of gray reminds you of your loneliness and lost in this world of darkness. The daylight in the game inherits those surrealism and twilight in “Dark Souls”, “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” and occasionally “Darksiders” and “God of War 4”. There would be some adjustments to the souls of colors in harmony to the land you are playing in. As you progress in the game, you will appear as an adventurer, fighter, and puzzle-solver genius, together with having some conversations with the NPCs, doing their requests with different levels of difficulty. The daylight of the game will be engraved in your memory as a dark, fantasy, RPG game forever!
The night time in the world of “Tessara” on the other hand depicts some completely different variations than the daylight. Arrived at certain points in the lands, you`ll be surprised by the dark sky. So little could be seen through the night time for the presence of thick fogs of the dark. There will be a limited eyesight due to the presence of an encompassing, powerful dark. If roaming at night times without a plan, you will definitely be fallen prey to some terrifying monsters of dark. Some monsters of great power, defeating almost everything in defiance. Some, even ethereal. Not easily beaten. There is also a new mechanic defined in “Testament” linked to your behavior at night times. If made some wrong choices, the dark will become more disastrous to you. Of course, the reward you will receive for doing quests or defeating monsters during the day aren’t even comparable to those done at nights. The atmosphere and the feeling during nights in the world of “Tessara” will resemble those of “Zombie/Apocalypse” games where you face scarce resources to wring with and need to be cautious of danger at every passing moment of the game. The night of testament will definitely be remembered as a genuine survival game.
Woken up in an apocalyptic, cursed wilderness, you have no clues of your identity and whereabouts. Trapped, you find yourself amongst some creatures. Some creatures as if you once had met. Some creatures of neither human essence nor trees. Their temper is unstable. While there`s a nobility in them, oddly enough there`s some hostility in them, as well.
At nights, there are some clues to a sacred, but devil-stricken place. Unclear whispers come and go, but no one knows the source. The whole realm seems raided by dark forces. You feel danger and threat from every corner. That`s the reason no one dares to spend their nights out of a shelter. Not even You!
You can`t just wander around in any woods you see! The woods may have hidden ears to eavesdrop anything said. The shadows may have sent some dark agents to follow your steps in this realm of nowhere. There might even be some fairies lurking behind the bushes and trees looking to trick a hero, like you.
It`s a realm with some creatures that feels like their bodies are dead, while their conscience awake. Awake with sorrow and hopelessness. It`s like they don`t belong to this realm! A sorrow and despair as a sign. Maybe a sign of a lost, beloved one. And maybe an insignia of a long-standing plague.
A hero like you might wonder: “Why everyone in this realm asks me for help!?”. And “Why everyone talks about a king!? A king so just and wise, once ruling their land. But, what has happened to this realm that has turned its face from light and redemption to dark and devastation!?
But, there is a place. A place that a voice from inside calls you to. One that tells you the reason for all this dark and misery could lie with it. The place with a TREE. A tree ascending beyond the clouds! It shines like it`s burning. Its blossoms are of fire flames! The tree is of such a splendor that few adventurers could pass by indifferent, if any! The tree sounds like its calling you to an indispensible fate. Maybe to the fate of the world of “Tessara”.

“Testament” is a fantasy RPG game with an action gameplay and sometimes some stealth mechanics. As a player, you can confront some enemies in a frontal battle, but there will be many times in the game that you will have to use stealth strategies to get past your foes. As you progress through the game, there will be three main fighting methods to use.
The first way of fighting that you learn in the game would be some close combats with a divine talking staff. There is a staff in the game able of talking and a company of the hero through the game. This staff also is capable of transformation into six different weapons to fight enemies. The base form of melee weapon is a one-handed sword with the element of divinity and will have a set of normal, special combos and a finisher.
As you confront different situations through the main story line, the weapon will acquire new essences, such as “Lava”, “Elasticity”, “Crystal”, “Lightning” and “Void”. In conformity with different elements in the game, the weapon can transform to another forms, as well. Imagine, you are fighting a big monster with a heavy body. As you clash with him with your one-handed sword, in the middle of executing a combo, you will also be able to use the two-handed sword of lava to make the big monster hurt.
There are also the “Battle Staff of Lightning”, “Whip of Elasticity”, “Katana of Crystal Essence” and another heavy weapon as well. The transformation system consists a new mechanic that lets you change your weapon in the middle of executing a combo to make some diverse, special combos. Each weapon will have at least three set of combos, a “Special Attack” and a “Finisher”.
The second method to fight in the game is through using the bow. In this game you can use a bow of energy that has different kinds of arrows. We design the bow for two reasons: first, to use it as a fighting tool and second, to solve puzzles. To make the bow interesting and give you more choices, we make some special arrows with different mechanics.
As a player, you will be able to make use of some “Normal Arrows”, “Penetrative Arrows”, “Ricochet Arrows”, “Explosive Arrows” and more. Let`s have an example: Imagine a situation in which you are confronting a powerful monster with some range attacks. if you have a ricochet arrow and the environment has a flat surface, then you will be able to shoot the arrow to the surface and the bouncing arrow will hit the monster. There will also be some fun puzzles that you can solve using the different traits of the bow.
The third and most exciting method of fighting in the game is done through a “Magical Enchantment”. The chanting system in "Testament" consists several classes. Each class will be comprised of some passive and active skills. We make the classes with different goals in mind. These classes will be used to achieve several goals, such as “Strategic Close Fighting”, “Destructive Fighting”, “Supports”, “Buffs”, “De-buffs”, “AOE Attacks”, “Tracking”, “Puzzle-Solving”, and so much more.
There will also be some other classes such as “Lifeforce”, “Name”, “Creation”, “Holy Flame”, “Float” and even more. So, let`s get a feel of what you will experience in “Testament”. At the beginning of the game, you will acquire a chant named “Lifeforce”. This class will let you make use of some of the life injections to stun your enemy, also serving as a defensive chant letting you to have a shield in your left hand along with some other usages for this class, like revival of the land that changes the face of it and opens some new side quests. There will also be some another class of chant mostly used to solve puzzles, named “Creation”. This class of chant will grant you the ability to reverse the flow of time for some special locations or some objects to make a ruined thing turned back to its normal way. There will also be another class named “Float” that lets you grab enemies, making use of telekinesis, or shoot them with some objects existing in the surroundings.
And last but not least, the most amazing thing in this game will be a system that lets you combine some of these three fighting methods together. Imagine, you enchant your arrow with the creation chant and shoot it to the ruins of a heavy object hanging from a thin rope above a tough enemy and that’s how you`ll kill an enemy without dirtying your hand.
"Testament" is a unique take on the RPG experience. Our world structure is dynamic and built to engage you in its every little details of gameplay. Cults have risen and fallen. Items will unlock as you progress through the game, your needs grow, and secrets are unlocked. As the world’s structure is based on involvement, players will have the experience of both interacting and fighting with legendary beings, paving the way for new adventures, new quests, and a real evolution. Adventurism and intrigue will play a very real role in the structure of your world. Gone are the days of darkness and evil, light is here to stay.
“The First Kingdom"
The people of the land of "The First Kingdom" remind of their “Immortal king” in pride. A king that has ruled the realm for more than fifty thousand years in full justice and good judgment. Oddly, the land now has turned to a hub of wicked and war. Darkness has defeated the light and the land seeks a hero to bring the glorious past back.
"Forbidden Fortress"( DLC)
The ordinary people of the “Forbidden Fortress” now are the forgers of the “Hand of First King”. Once a people so inexperienced and slack, unable to defend their own sovereignty, the people of the “Forbidden Fortress” are now so obsessively obliged to their king and the cause of the land that with their leaders disappearance they have become madman in search of a new cause.
"The Heartless Sea"
The roaring sea of “Vandor” named the Heartless sea for showing no mercy to the ones dare to set sail in its waters . A cemetery of the heroes of past ages and their belongings. But no one wants to know the fathom of depts. For they might face some giant monsters of abomination!
“The Desert of Sacrifice”
A land of sands and souls, the "desert of sacrifice" bears many hidden secrets within. A sacred place of faith and divine for ages, the land now holds nothing but blasphemy and disbelief. Hot winds and fiery weather is seemed to retell the story of the ones that have no remorse to spill blood.The look in their eyes has no life left in it, they seek living things as an offering to sacrifice to the Gods.
"Heaven of Gods"
An island afloat in the skies, the “Heaven of Gods”is an oasis of a people acquired godly powers through ages, sinking them in such an arrogance and prejudice that deluded them by a pseudo-divinity to the extent of calling themselves gods.
"Great City of Dorran"
A community of prosperity and affluence, the people of "Dorran", once supposed to be a vanguard of goodness and morality have managed to lead a life of piggishness and filth. Through the ages, this race of ambition, narcissism, and hedonism of traders, physicians, and politicians has devised a way to exploitation and bacchanalia, rather than benevolence and goodwill.
"The Last Ballad of Destiny"
In a land of joy, rhyme and harmony, a tale of sorrow comes about. The story turns around and everything inclines to elegy and lamentation. The enthusiast, poet people of the land drown in grief and pain. And everything tends to go to past times in hopes of retrieval of a beloved one.
The past is written. The present is happening. And, the future will come. Mysteriously, everything is recorded in the “Archive”. A land of stories of the future, a library of the tales of the past. And a knower of the present events. “The Archive” is a place for the things passed,and the things to come. But better no one wants to read the stories of the future!
"Temple of Silence"(DLC)
A house of worship of a cult indoctrinated by a belief that the enlightened ones are in possession of powers to connect to those reticent, and get aware of the happenings of the realm by some ways of telepathy.
"The Colossal Arena"(DLC)
A ground of trial for those seeking a way to test their valor and worth through a battle ground of giants. But this trial comes in a high price that many have paid in full with their life for this Assay.
"The High Lands"
"The High lands" is a place for the determined. A place full of hardships. A place to test your will and volition. The men of will and determination face and put in trial their fears in the “Jungle of Truth". Fight with the wrath of nature in the “Porch of Hospitality”, and defeat their temptation in the “Misty Forest of Temptation” and build their way to purification.
"The Land of the Nameless"
The people of the "Land of the Nameless" are afflicted by the delusion of divinity of their holy ones, and doomed to bewilderment and full detachment of their past. No memory of their once a green, abundant land, this destiny has brought nothing but devastation and misery and left them “Nameless”. In the world of "Tessara".
"The Lizard Men Swamp"(DLC)
Intrigued by temptation, the people of the "Lizard Men Swamp" seek to protect their dearest one from an evil. Trying for ages to destroy him, and tricked, there is no faith left in their hearts. Living in isolation for many years due to their mistrust and disbelief these knight line of people are doomed to an ever-lasting curse.
A land of wishes and dreams. A land of aspirations and ideals.A land that reminds its people of their desires and yearnings, and make them more inclined to stay asleep and dream of their wants, rather than waking and confronting the reality of their lives. A desire so deep that is gradually putting their “Dreamland” on the threshold of desolation.
"The Promised Land"
A lofty, heavenly realm, the "Promised Land" is a haven of the pure and the righteous, and home to a flame of life and vitality. Only the blameless has passed through the gates of the land and just the chosen ones are allowed to step unto this sacred part of the world.
ABOUT DLCs :
The DLCs are going to be available to purchase on the games extension bundle, "but good news for our backers"!!! following the Succession of our goal, the "Forbidden Fortress" & "Lizard Men Swamp" are the two DLCs we announce on our stretch goals as the special Backers Extended Edition.
The same as our games hero, we have big plans for "Testament":
- PC version will be available in the second quarter of 2020.
- Console version will be out Shortly after the release of the PC version , however considering the Cost of porting the game to console the Precise Date for console release will rely on the feedback and support we receive during PC Pre-order.
Slate of the Fallen Heroes
There had been two great wars in “Tessara”. One for Men, and the other against. First, there was the rise of a man. The one who rebelled against exploiters. Against slavers. And against discriminators. A man who became a King. The one who was recognized as the “First King of Men”. The only fair one. The one who never gave up on justice. An army of the wise rode behind him. Fought beside him. And bled for him. They were named “Hero” by the king himself. they were named “The Fallen Heroes of the Rise”.
Forgotten for years after the rise of the first king, an army of demons was called upon. Found its way to the heart of the realm, they invaded. skies became overshadowed by them. Days turned dark. And people stood no chance. But the one who dared to stand strong and protect the weak was no other than the First King of Men. The army of men was victorious. But eventually the land had to pay the price. it is said that two thirds of the lands disappeared after this war.
The ones who fell by the side of the first king in the stand against the dark army were named “The Fallen Heroes of the Stand”.
By the hand of the king and his seven commanders, the great memorial of the fallen heroes was made right next to the castle of the first king. A field filled with slates. Slates that bear the name of each fallen hero. It is said that the first king wept and spent years carving the names of every fallen hero on the slates himself.
Becoming 3D model of a character:
Game characters are created based on references, these references are either from a character concept or a real life model. On the tiers of this Campaign when we offer 3D model of a character, it means we will have your facial features 3D scanned & used to create the NPC in the game.
