Drenched in Celtic undertones and the spirit of the seas, the new album from SeaStar will sweep you away in the "North Winds".
Our new CD, "North Winds", is almost finished! We need to raise the funds to get it mastered and duplicated! This CD combines rich Celtic stories with tales of love and life. It was recorded on 1/2" tape at Green Arbor Studio by our very own Kelly Blanchard. Ron Allen, from Wynne C Blue and her Troublefakers, is mixing the CD. Mastering will be done by Chris Hanzsek!
"North Winds" is already getting some press. I received First Place in the Bob Kotta Songwriting Contest for my song, Sailor, which is on the new CD. The judges loved the tune and the lyrics beautiful imagery. I am so honoured and humbled! Thanks to the Port Gamble Maritime Music Festival for the great honour.
When we did our Kickstarter campaign in 2011, I was overwhelmed by the support! Thank you so much! That project was huge for us! Little did we know that, because of that release, we would get the opportunity to tour in Ireland and Turkey! This year we are headed to Scotland to play music in Dougie MacLean's Perthshire Amber Festival! We will play in the prestigious Perth Concert Hall on November 2, 2013! This is a dream come true for me. Never would I have imagined that I would share the stage with one of my most favorite performers and songwriters!
I wonder where "North Winds" will take us!
