We have reached our goal! An album will be released. If we go over by enough we will put out a 7" VINYL or a 12"!!!! Thanks a ton to all the contibutors!!
A new studio album by Seth Faergolzia. Live, pure, and honest acoustic performances in high fidelity audio coupled with multi-layered loops telling the up and down story of an Indy musician on the road.
Who Am I? What is this?
I am Seth Faergolzia, a different sort of folk musician out of Rochester, NY. I've been recording and releasing my own music for nearly 20 years now, and I make my living performing all over the globe. It's not an easy life, and this album was written contemplating the lifestyle I have chosen for myself, but also there are songs of love, spirit, and friendship. It's one of my most personal stories to date. I hope you will share in it.
This new album, entitled Doubting Won't Do, is scheduled for release in April 2014 and your support here on Kickstarter can help it happen.
Before I say anything else, I'd like to first thank my fans, friends and family for your boundless support over the years. It has been a hard road, but you've softened all the potholes and made this climb much easier!!
On the right side of this page you will see the "Rewards" section. There you will find a number of awesome things you can get for pledging to help my album take flight. You can get all sorts of things from a digital copy of the album to CDs, t-shirts, handmade stuff and even private music lessons or concerts in your home!
If you have an idea of another sort of pledge, something individualized, you can let me know and perhaps we can work it out.
Over the past year I've been recording at two different studios, More Sound Studios in Syracuse, NY and FLCC in Canandaigua, NY. I've also been building a studio here in my home, doing construction work for the first time in my life (which has been quite a learning experience).
What I need the money for:
Studio Recording and Mastering Fees: $1500
CD reproduction: $2500
-Kickstarter & Amazon fees (for processing pledges) - 10% of total raised: $400
All other costs I'm planning on covering out-of-pocket.
That puts my total at just around $4400. If I'm able to raise that, I'll be happy, but if I can raise more, I'll release a vinyl of the album and / or hire a publicist for the European tour in May.
If the goal isn't met, none of the pledges will be processed and I won't be able to put out the album.
I have many other expenses from the past and in the future which are not included in this Kickstarter campaign. The more I raise, the more I can accomplish. I'd so much like to be able to hire a publicist, pay the visual artists who have volunteered their efforts to make a sweet album design, t-shirts and posters for tour. My fingers are crossed!
I'm happy to say there are some awesome artists involved in making the artwork for this album including Adam Green, Michelle Civil, Thomas McNulty, Dan Sieradski, Glenn Zansitis, & Laura Lee Jones.

Risks and challenges
Barring extreme illness and acts of God, I will be on a plane first to NYC then to Europe at the end of April with a suitcase full of copies of this album to spread all over. After that I will be planning more US touring for the following year. There are always factors you cannot predict, but I try to push on through no matter what gets in my way, be it illness or resistance from other forces, I will do my best no matter what the circumstance.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
