We invite you and your friends to have a wonderfully idiotic time in the colorful world of Hylaria. Miscommunication at its funniest!
Hylaria is a social game that invites 4 to 8 people, age 10 and up, to join in 30 minutes of hilarious miscommunication.
Players compete in two teams for the colorful tiles in the center of the table. To have a chance at winning, your team will need a clever code that can communicate the content of the face-down tiles in front of you. Without your opponents finding out of course.
Because guess what? You NEVER get to play your own tiles. But everybody else does.
This game is whimsical, odd, unique and very inviting. Taught in a few minutes and endlessly replayable because it taps from an infinite well of variety: human creativity...

Hylaria is my 3rd tabletop project for the masses (besides educational games). Oh no... INVASION!!! and Ortus are the two others.
This project is especially near to my heart because I've been able to design this from the ground up. Besides writing the rules, I've designed every character with lots of love. Making sure that all of them have different emotions, looks and feel to them.
But of course I could have never done this without LOADS 'n' LOADS of advice and support from friends and the boardgame community. Massive thanks for that everybody!

- "How come you can deliver so quickly."
Almost everything that needs to be done to start production has been done already. All the art and graphic design elements have been done. Every element has been playtested. Plus we have a slot next month at the production company so production can start right after the campaign.
- "Has this game been playtested often enough?"
Yes. Hylaria has been playtested countless of times by many different people. Big and small. Gamer and non-gamer. We have used all the feedback we got from this to the fullest to bring you a game we are proud of!
- "My kids aren't 10 years old yet, would that be a problem?"
The 10+ marking has been placed there to be on the safe side. Not all kids will fully grasp the concept of the game. However, I have playtested with a lot of younger 'gamer kids' and some of them really impressed me with their clever trickery.
Risks and challenges
Boardgame project always have a lot of variables that need to be considered. And even though we have done this before and prepared as best we can, things can always go sideways. The game itself is fully playtested and ready for production. The producer is ready to pump out loads of copies and we have already a contract with a great fulfillment company.
