About this project
I've always had a fascination with letters. Letters are --They're everything, they're all around us and they're constantly telling us things.
My name is Fabian Verdejo. For Kickstarter and for the world, I want to create happiness. iWISH is a project to depreciate the hate on our planet by creating wish-granting Art. Sigils are drawings with intention, and the intention is to fulfill your intention. Sigils are individualized wishes captured two-dimensionally. To help understand this, let's imagine a SIGIL asking for a car. If that's the intention I harness, I'll always be a person that wants a new car. So, the first step in creating a SIGIL is to make the intention present. Next, remove all the vowels, and then any repeated consonants. You end up with a chain of letters. These letters are then manipulated until they form a symbol which has been charged by the energy expended during its creation. Since energy is never created nor destroyed, only changes form, each SIGIL is a tool to bring forth a specify desire into our realm. You want the letters and their message to seep into the subconscious part of your brain, which is the part that makes everything happen. Using SIGIL magic, I plan to grant a minimum of 100 wishes. Sigils themselves have a long history dating back to ancient times, and have all sorts of magical and spiritual associations to them.
As of yet, I have created three SIGILS to be delivered exclusively through kickstarter: Peace, Love, and Health. I can't afford to make 100 wishes without you. As iWISH is unfolding, it is very likely I will spend anywhere from 50-80 hours a week in creation. Transparency is also very important to me, therefore, I will be documenting the entire process for you. I will require a professional grade, ergonomic drafting table, a digital camera. pens, paper, ink, brushes, and of course the time to create it all.

Risks and challenges
In granting wishes with SIGIL magic, I am challenged to create moving Art that resonates with a message and an intention, while staying true to my aesthetic and doing so in a timely manner. It is not rare that we Human beings truly know what it is that we want, so I am challenged to help you figure that out. I am challenged in that hours melt away the way seconds do while I am creating, my focus completely consumed by the work. This embellishes the Art, yet it can hinder the Artist-Consumer relationship, especially when there is a specified time frame. However, being conscious of this notion while keeping all lines of communication open are key to avoiding this conflict and tackling it in the event of its surfacing. I am committed to providing in excellence, keeping my word, and remaining open and transparent throughout the duration of my project. Thank You!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The duration of each drawing has a few variables, such as the size of the paper or the specificity of the intention. I also take very much care to make sure all the lines are as smooth as possible where I want them to be, as I feel they should be to the utmost quality if I am to sign my name to them. Here are approximate durations:
The 2" x 3" SIGILS take roughly 3 hours each.
The 5" x 7" SIGILS take roughly 5 hours each.
The 6" x 8" SIGILS take roughly 8 hours each.
The 8" x 10" SIGILS take roughly 12 hours each.
The License plates will take roughly 15 hours, plus drying time, as they will be done using enamel paint.
The 18"x24" SIGILS have, so far, taken me a week to complete, at approximately 8-10 hours daily (The "LOVE" drawing was roughly 65 hours). They are very detailed, since I can make a very small mark relative to the whole of the paper plane. I also take very much care to maintain its "white" to contrast my markings.
A mural, measuring 8' x 8' (maximum sized offered) can take 25-40 hours, perhaps longer, depending on the specificity of the intention and the level of detail decided upon.
The book will need to be produced after 100 SIGILS have been created.
Each drawing will include the name of the person who is to experience the intention. For example, if John Smith wanted to manifest patience as a virtue in his being, I would create a SIGIL in the following steps:
1). "John Smith, (include here any special or distinguishing attributes desired or agreed upon), has acquired patience."
This phrase would then be dissected of its vowels and repeated consonants to appear something like this:
These are the letters manipulated into SIGIL form.
