...is a musician and a vagabond.
She is a composer, a singer and a violinist. An artist at home between countries and cultures, a dreamer who sails in her painted violin case between the roaring waves of reality and imagination.
This idiosyncratic artist is the best proof that fairy tales really do exist. So she travels the world with her little snail house on four wheels on a road that unfolds in all direction, always accompanied by her little dog "My".
The blond wild head full of dreams, always thirsty for the horizon and nothing in her luggage but her faithful violin, mysterious stories and melodies ... and the stars.
Pernilla is a painter and storyteller.
She has spent the coldest months of the year in Norway, fully devoting herself to capturing stories and images on paper. It is a touching tale of darkness and light, accompanied by detailed and fascinating paintings that will never let you go again.
After spending over 100 nights writing and painting by the fire, this piece of art is almost complete.
But it is yet one step away from becoming a book.
Once upon a time...
The author takes the reader on a journey to a small island in the north with the strange name Inski Pinski. There lives a princess who is plagued by the most beautiful sickness in the world, horizon pain.
So one day, accompanied by her little golden wolf, she sets sails to discover what lies behind the ivory shores of her little island.
She travels day and night, sailing underneath suns and moons, until her little boat finally reaches an unknown and mysterious land.
These dark forests are full of peculiar creatures, and the princess must soon discover that the world beyond her beloved little island is not always friendly.
But doesn't each living being have it’s own story to tell? Can there be light without shadows? And what is the secret behind the singing wood?
It is a fairy tale. A story about following your heart and finding your path in life.
It is an ode to the wonders of nature and the beauty of surrendering to the darkest of nights and the wildest adventure. The acrylic paintings and the story are inspired by Scandinavian folklore, artists like John Bauer and Theodor Kittelsen and the breathtaking landscapes of Norway.
The book will be 30x30 cm in size with a hardcover, and it will ultimately be available in bookstores - but this is your chance to get it before anyone else and to become a trusted companion. Help Pernilla overcome these last stormy waves before reaching the ivory shores.
The funds will be used to make sure that all the details are perfect - the layout, the photography, and the quality of the paper and the print. There will also be a connection between the paintings and Pernilla's music.
The book will be available in German, English and Dutch.

Risks and challenges
Creating a touching story and intricate paintings is one thing. But it is a true challenge to keep these acrylic and poetic treasures just as you intended them to be.
Printing a book is expensive, and it can be threatening (yet tempting) to sell your art and your rights to others in order to make the publishing possible.
This book is far more than a story that can be squeezed into a company’s box. And just like the author, this book is willful enough to resist what might be expected.
To ensure high quality printing and to keep the story and paintings pure, untouched and as intended, this project needs to be financially independent.
It is the author’s goal to give her story wings and make it fly across borders and countries. And when you reach the point of publishing this book in three different languages you begin to cut down your expectations and make compromises again. But do you have to?
