PS4 would be a great thing! Keep up the great work. Your game looks amazing!!!

    2. Exbleative Creator on December 22, 2017

Thanks Richard, definitely a chance for PS4/consoles, just gotta get the PC version out first and go from there!

    3. richardvanderpol on December 22, 2017

Great post and thanks for the update. Hopefully, everything progresses as you have anticipated. :-)
Is there still a chance for a PS4 edition somewhere in there? Big community and a lot of players. ;-)

      Keep it up!

      Greetings, Richard

Sooo, I kinda forgot about doing the survey to get my reward and have only just done it now which maybe too late? is there any way I can get access to the backer preview now or have I stuffed it?

    10. Exbleative Creator on June 15, 2017

      @Psychomorph Thanks :)
The auto camera is tricky, some people get 'lost' without it snapping quickly back, others get annoyed. I'll definitely have some options for this.
Jumping direction I've toyed with a bit already, there's pros and cons to a simple straight up vs craft direction or terrain slope/angle. I may revisit and think about it as development continues.

      TY!

    11. Psychomorph on June 14, 2017

Great demo. Looking forward to the final game.

Two points I'd like to see improved:
      - the automatic camera readjustment is uncomfortable. Would be nice to see an option to turn it off.
      - jumping direction should be based on the level of the slant to some degree. So if the slant is too much (like almost a wall), than you should jump away from it to the side to some degree.

    12. Exbleative Creator on June 6, 2017

@Steven I'm resending it now, maybe just message me if you still don't get it.

@Steve You should have an email from Humble, "Your Exo One (EXO ONE tier) order is ready". If you can't find it, check your spam/trash folders first and if it doesn't exist, let me know and I'll look into it further. I can confirm the email does seem to have been sent to you.

How do I get the backer build?

    21. Christopher Jarvis on June 5, 2017

I guessed as much, since there was a slight HUD for the ship internally. As you say, just a little awkward.

@exbleative where are we in terms of streaming/videos with this early version? Okay? Not okay?

    22. Missing avatar

      David J on June 5, 2017

Christopher Jarvis I reached that point in the demo. It is definitely deliberate(though I must admit that the transition was a bit surprising and abrupt)

From what I can tell after my one playthrough, it seems to be triggered by an event inside the world rather than an action done by you. the trigger probably has something to do with the speed you are going or that specific location in the demo.

IT does run well I do agree with that. once I got it running it ran without any major problems, I'll need to play it more to see if there are any issues to fix or improvements that could be made.

This is a very early build though so I am expecting there to be some bugs.

    24. Christopher Jarvis on June 5, 2017

I had a moment where the camera seemed to get confused and then I was inside the ball playing in 1st person. Was this deliberate or a bug? Or did I accidentally press something that switches 1st/3rd person?

    25. Remote Viewer on June 5, 2017

I downloaded the backer build, but when I unzipped it, one of my security programs claimed that this file: Qt5OpenGL.dll was a virus.

I have no doubt that this is a false positive as I am aware of what OpenGL is and that it is safe. I just wanted to tell you that this could happen to you and that you probably shouldn't worry about it.

If Exbleative wants to confirm this please feel free.

@Exbleative I am not unhappy just was a point I didn't consider to be possible. I meant is obviously that that JPEG you will send to us will be in internet if someone google EXONE wallpaper ... just an irremediable fact. That's why I thought it has to be physically.
      Thanks anyway.

    30. TIBORGAM on June 1, 2017

      For helping more:

I remember how many hours I spent with this simple game:
      "pakoon beta"
It was so simple, but the open world and flying run possibilities where the main feature.

Now you really have an incredible idea to make a revolutionary game.
You only have to put some skills, abilities, upgrades even the aerodynamic feature can be upgraded for better efficiency and changing the appearance with each aerodynamic upgrade but with the possibility of getting back to the last lvl.
Other example, if you want to go foward faster you can transform in a vertical disc, with less manoeuvrability but 5 times faster (for example).
I think you have just a basic concept of what could be a very innovative game.
But don't make it too much simple as a only a experimental ... just break the concepts of games.

Other idea, for example be able to change the environmental with your energy gartering abilities:
Spinning around it self while rotating in a circled created in the floor makes a hole, then you fly to the cloud above the hole created and apply electric discharges to them and they start to rain, so then your hole gets filled up with water ... and a message pops up: "The lake creator, ACHIEVEMENT GOT, CONGRATS".

I can be all the day in this way.

I hope you use all the potential your game has.

Thanks and looking forward your reply.

    31. TIBORGAM on June 1, 2017

Also I have some good suggestions:
I truly believe you can develop a amazing very long play time game. Lvls, skills, forms, different ways of getting energy from natural sorces, wind sun, potential energy by falling and reaching the floor.
For example when fyling like a disc and running out of power just (if it is unlocked the ability) to transform in to a cone like a Stalactite and just fall down fast fast and when it hit the grounds it absorbs the energy with many lights and effects and helps to recharge the energy, then it flies up again thanks to the wind currents and repeat the process of falling like a stalactite ... for example.

For example each planet has a different ways abilities and skills unlock-able to use renewable energy, so when you add new planets you add new way of playing.

For example a hot planet, geothermal energy, it transform in a simple machine like a Stirling motor ...

A planet with many seas and waves, it transform in a Tidal wave machine.

But of course the most simple, wind, sun, gravity, electric torments, etc and etc.

I believe If you don't use all the potential this idea has ... maybe other one will come and make it.

Also It could be very helpfully and power software to concern people about the power of renewable energies. And It would make you could always has new updates according to the new planets and sources of energy. A planet with a meteor shower always? Of course a piezoelectric device to absorb this energy ;).

      It's up to you ;D.

      I wish my best.

For more ideas here I am.

@Cyborgmanlibre Your 2nd thought is correct. The description says, "... High-Res, Self-Print Poster (JPG file)". It is a JPG file that you can print at home or take to a local printer. I don't understand how you'd be downloading it for free 4 months later?

The 12 high-res self-print posters are the same as above.

If you aren't happy with this, send me a message and I'll issue a refund.

    33. TIBORGAM on June 1, 2017

Just a stupid question, It's about the language ...
What does Self Print Rezzed Poster means*?
1st thought 5 days ago : oh they will print a beautiful poster and send to me by physic material postal ...
2st thought 5 mins ago: oh they will send me a JPEG and I will have to self print it if I want the poster... So I could have download it 4 months after for free.

Please tell me the that 1st thought was the right and not the second.

The same for 12 high res self print poster.

And for the desktop wallpapers I understand is obviously only digital reward.

      Best regards.

@FosterG, the 12 posters will look nice next to each other for sure, but won't be designed specifically to line up. Each will be its own individual thing.

@Ben Mac might be considered after release, think it's in the FAQ

    44. Foster G on May 30, 2017

What a ride! WTG EXO! I am considering adding on a reward of the self-print poster set of all 12 planets and imagined how cool it would be if all the posters could align to create one huge panorama landscape shot. Would Tim consider that possibility?
