Guncraft is a standalone PC/XBLIG first person shooter utilizing voxel (cube-based) based levels and graphics as well as construction elements. We strive for this game to be a mainstream first person shooter experience utilizing all the best features of a voxel engine.
Guncraft: Foundry is a companion to Guncraft, for the Ouya. Take the casual community aspects of Guncraft, and bring them to your couch or on the go! Build maps, create your own skins, and possibly even craft your own guns and then upload them to play/use on the PC version of Guncraft, with all your friends. Stretch goals will make this app better than ever (Gun crafting is the first stretch goal)!
Other games have touted having fully destructible environments, but you could never create craters in the ground, blow giant holes in the side of buildings, or kill someone by destroying the ground underneath them and dropping them to their untimely doom. We have that. Voxel engines allow us complete and total environmental destruction. But wait, that's not all! We also have complete and total environmental CONSTRUCTION.
Not only can you build anything and everything using a variety of blocks, but you can also construct, what we call, Prefabs. These are full structures, custom-made by you, that can be placed in game if you have the resources for them. We also have rewards packages that allow you to build turrets, SAM sites, tanks, hoverbikes, helicopters, drones, and much, much more.
When you've custom created your own level, share and destroy it with others through competitive online play! Don't be afraid of destroying your creations, because all destruction and on-the-fly construction is reset after every round. There will be many modes, varying from traditional deathmatch and capture the flag, as well as a few unique game modes, not seen in any other FPS games, like Lava Survival (outrun the lava while knocking others in), Siege Mode (Be the first team to build a trebuchet to destroy the other team's), and Onslaught Mode (4 play coop survival mode against killer robots). There is also leaderboards, full clan support, out of game chat rooms, friends list, private messaging, and other features that will extend your experience beyond just playing the game.
ABOUT GUN CRAFTING (yes we finally live up to our game's name!) Gun crafting is something we've always wanted. The crème de la crème of modding features. We've always told you that modding is one of our end game goals, but we have to be careful about it due to balance issues. Well this is the modding feature that is going to change EVERYTHING. Make your own gun, iron sight, give it sound effects, then completely customize the stats of the gun for use in game. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single game that's let you 100% customize the stats of a gun, for use in game, that was created by the actual developers. Do you want a shotgun style bazooka? How about a rapid fire sniper rifle? A vehicle obliterating chicken gun? A railgun blasting unicorn horn? These can all be yours with our incredible gun crafting tool. However, if we are going to make this feature, we need to go above and beyond with this Kickstarter. If you are as excited as we are about this feature, then I have no doubt we'll make it a reality!
ABOUT SKIN EDITOR
More modding?! Well we claimed Foundry to be the ultimate companion to Guncraft, we meant it. Here you'll be able to create your own skin using a pixel paint editor and while you're editing it, you'll be able to see a 3D model of the character updated in real time. You'll then upload it to our moderating team for approval, and assuming you haven't drawn some vulgar or trademarked material, you'll get to use and share it with all your friends!
ABOUT MAP EDITOR
Well this is pretty standard if you've played Guncraft at all. We are essentially porting the entirety of Free-Build mode over to Guncraft. Use your excellent creative skills to shape, warp, and mend the environment into a beautiful creation of your imagination, then share it online for the world to play! If you make something truly extraordinary, us devs may even feature it in our official map lineup!
We already have many features fully implemented and are about to finish creating the last few. We are in the last stretch of open beta for Guncraft, which will end sometime between January 21st - January 28th, 2013. Guncraft for PC will then be released on January 29th, 2013. We will be fulfilling all of our orders from our first Kickstarter at that point. Guncraft: Foundry will be released in April 2013, the same day the Ouya launches.
We have an exact amount of money that we will need in order to do this Kickstarter. Some expenses will be paid for using our own funds (noted below). The majority will be raised through this Kickstarter. If we go over the goal, less of our own money will be used.

Kickstarter/Amazon fees, merchandise, and extraneous expenses will be paid for with our own money (which we have calculated). No money will go towards the PC version of Guncraft.
Risks and challenges
The company we are utilizing to complete this job is a team full of very talented, and experienced Unity programmers. However, there is the risk that they won't complete the game by Ouya's release date.
