Things You've Missed. Or Would Miss. If You Knew About Them.
Where's the Peace Talks preview, Fred?
... we already posted it. Last week. Minutes after the Kickstarter concluded. (It's only been a week?!)
It's true! The Kickstarter did end.
I'm as upset about this as you are.
Hm? Oh, the other thing, right. The Peace Talks preview is found on Update #13. You know, thematic! Thirteen! It's a big deal! Go read it now!
Let this be a lesson to you, dear backers! Our updates are high-content, not like your typical Kickstarter updates! Packed with nutrition* and stuff. Imagine what you might be missing if you don't actually read them all! :)
* Our Kickstarter updates contain no actual nutritional value. It's a, whatta ya call it, a meta-fur, or something.
Did I miss anything else?
Well, no. I mean, not exactly. There's another thing or two, sure. But I haven't posted about them yet.
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that quivery silence I'm getting from you is delighted anticipation and not, y'know, the quiet that preced—
OW OW DARN IT I GOT THAT ONE WRONG
(there goes a perfectly good eyebrow)
So, two new things now await you in the folder linked in Update #1: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/evilhat/the-dresden-files-cooperative-card-game/posts/1551446
First up, your fellow backer James Pabis has created a PDF of do-it-yourself tuckboxes for use with the decks from the base game. You can find this PDF in the "By Backers For Backers" subfolder above.
Secondly, we have some more stuff for you print & play previewer folks! All the book decks from the three funded expansions, in fact. Go to the folder linked in Update #1 and look for the file named Dresden Files Cooperative Card Expansion Book Decks Backer Preview.pdf to experience the joy of having six new scenario decks to play with, from Blood Rites to Turn Coat.
These book decks use the placeholder art right now, just like the book decks in the core game preview file did, and therefore do not represent the final look. But since we probably won't have all the art for that until October, we figured we'd roll these out to you now. Let us know what you think.
(And yeah, we already know there's a typo on one of the cards — Thorned Nashmiel should be Thorned Namshiel. Stupid Denarians with their hard to type names. Those guys are totally evil. For, uh, other reasons too.)
We'll make the character decks available a bit later on, probably after Origins, once we've had a chance to get their art all in place and confirm that the theming for them is en pointe. (Plus, that'll give you some time to experience the scenario decks with the core characters, before you call in reinforcements to help out!)
At any rate, that's it for today. We hope you enjoy the Peace Talks preview, if you haven't already, and get some good use out of the expansion book decks over Memorial Day weekend. Talk to you in a few weeks. And of course — thank you as always for your support!
