Quick Note: Mars on the Horizon

Dinocalypse Folks! Hello!

We're wrapping up the editing and proofing on Stephen Blackmoore's Khan of Mars, so we hope to get you the e-book soon enough -- possibly even in the next few weeks.

Would you prefer we send the PDF to our Dinocalypse backers a number of weeks before the other e-book formats? That's a possibility here -- we just won't have the ePub and Kindle formats done at the same time, and the hang time could be as much as a month. Let us know in the comments.

Meanwhile, over on our absolutely nutso RPG kickstarter for Fate Core, we just announced a new stretch goal for a young adult fiction novel following the teen adventures of Sally Slick! Check out the announcement and the amazing Sally Slick art here.

We don't want to leave you with just that, tho -- not when we can share some art with you! Below, have a look at Christian St. Pierre's pencils for the cover for Khan of Mars. It's gonna be great!

i'm good either way. my ereader handles .epub files better than .pdf but i wouldn-t want to hold up someone who prefers pdf files

If releasing the PDF edition doesn't slow down the ebook formats, I think they should become available as the become available.

Definitely recommend releasing the pdf when available.

I'll wait for the Kindle format to read it, but that shouldn't mean someone who wants it in PDF should go without until it's ready in all formats. Release as they become available!

So long as there is an epub version at some point, I am good either way.

I read Dinocalyse Now in PDF (and print when I got it) so PDF would be fine.

PDF early is fine by me, too

    8. Jesse Pudewell on January 17, 2013

PDF earlier is fine with me.

    9. Evan Franke on January 17, 2013

I will take mine in Kindle format, but if you want to release the PDF earlier, no problem for me. I can wait.

As much as I'd hate to be left behind it doesn't seem fair to hold back everybody's content for us kindlers. I say ship them out in whatever formats are available as they get done. And burn anybody who posts spoilers!

If you can release the pdf earlier then do so. Those who prefer to wait for epub/mobi like myself can do that just as easily. No need to make pdf fans suffer. :)

I'll wait for the ePub; it's a much more convenient format than PDF for me.

Brian Clevinger's juggling the writing alongside his continued successful work on Atomic Robo. The novel's about a third done.

C.E. Murphy will be getting to work on hers soon as well (we knew from the start she'd be getting to work on hers latest out of the set).

Chuck's at work on Beyond Dinocalypse right now.

Harry Connolly's King Khan is already done, but not as far along in the post-editing production work; it follows chronologically right after Khan of Mars, so you should see that one soon enough. :)

I rather wait for the epub version as it is my preferred format, I am not a big fan of pdf.

    15. Kineticmedic on January 17, 2013

How's Brian Clevinger's Book coming along?

    16. T. Everett on January 17, 2013

I prefer PDF, so getting it that much quicker would be a definite bonus.

    17. Anders Smith on January 17, 2013

I am definitely pro-PDF sooner here - I crave new fiction, and my reader handles PDFs just fine.

Also prefer to wait for Kindle, but I'm easy (can covert if necessary).

    19. RevGra on January 17, 2013

Won't read the PDF, so getting it first won't matter to me.

I'd wait on the kindle one, but that's my primary reading device.

All books that don't have "Dinocalypse" in the title are not part of the trilogy, they're stand-alone character books set either before or after the events of the Dinocalypse trilogy. The two Khan books occur after.

    22. Larisa LaBrant on January 17, 2013

No preference. I'll download all three formats so I can have the books on all my media.

I'd rather get the PDF first, personally.

    24. Joe England on January 17, 2013

I will be happy to wait on the Kindle version.

I'm happy to wait for the epub version, myself.

Is there a page somewhere which states which book Khan of Mars is in which series? It's been a while since I last paid attention to this ks, and I don't remember if that's in the Dinocalypse or not.

    26. Matt Zitron on January 17, 2013

Happy to wait for Kindle version.
