With psychic dinosaurs taking over Manhattan and beyond, it's up to the Century Club to save humanity -- from extinction!
1,516 backers pledged $42,769 to help bring this project to life.

The eBooks Are Ready!

With only 23 survey responses pending, I took a guess on those email addresses and have moved ahead to the deployment stage with the finalized Dinocalypse Now ebooks!

All backers at $10 and up should get an email sometime in the next 48 hours (so, by mid-day Thursday) from or -- they're the same company -- with a download code and instructions for grabbing your all-the-ebook-formats package of Dinocalypse Now digital goodness. Make sure to check those spam filters just in case!

That's not all that's going on, of course.

Yesterday, I finalized the $25-and-up backer credits for Dinocalypse Now and got those files off to the printers for the hard and soft cover editions. My rough guess at turn-around time on that is about a month, so I'd expect us to see shipment starting in early June for those of you who selected Dinocalypse Now as one of your book titles.

Art for the Dinocalypse-themed Spirit of the Century adventure, set in Los Angeles, is continuing to come in from fellow backer Jayna Pavlin and it's looking really fun. I'm planning to take Brian Engard's adventure into layout early next week and have it out to folks a week or so after.

And by the way, thanks to everyone who has preordered Don't Read This Book or bought it in ebook form -- and especially thanks to folks who've left some reviews on sites like Amazon. If you want a little peek inside how that's been going, check out my recent blog post.

Watch the skies!

Hey Fred, maybe you could make a general announcement about the error problems? I got some very cryptic messages and had to dig through the update comments to figure out that something was going on. :(

Should be labeled on the download link titles -- one is nook friendly, the other is iBooks friendly. Use the one that's just the title (without the author name appended) if you aren't sure which to pick.

What's the difference between the two epub files?

Error message or no error message, the correct action to take at this point is to contact DriveThru customer service. :)

I didn't get an error, I just get nothing. I guess they're working on it.

If you're getting an error message at this point, please contact DriveThru customer support and they'll get you straightened out.

Just got an error message too. Will try again tomorrow.

Thank you for the update! I'd just gotten an error message and was wondering who to contact.

I'm told some folks are getting error messages when trying to download their ebook packages. DriveThruFiction is aware of the problem and is working on it. If things don't get fixed for you in the 48 hour window, please contact them & let them know that you ran into the download problem.

And I agree, nice blog post. Very informative about the subject of sales and profits.
