So I got mine in the mail yesterday, and as far as the backplate goes, I am very impressed. I will agree with Taylor that it takes some getting used to, but I like the feel. However, I was disappointed to discover that my thumb sticks had been replace, which I was unaware would happen. I honestly like the original Xbox thumb sticks due to the fact that they are concave and your thumbs can rest inside of them. I do not mind these thumb sticks due to the fact that they are much more grippy, but I would have liked to know they would be installed ahead of time. Also, I specifically requested that my left bumper be looked at, but when I received my controller yesterday, I discovered that I am still having the same issue with it. On a related note, which I really shouldn't complain about, is that either the backplate does not quite line up with the front piece of plastic or it was not tightened enough, which makes the residue from ones hands that accumulates on the controller over time more noticeable. It would have been nice if you could have given the controller a nice clean, but again, I can't complain about this too much. Another minor grievance is that the plug and play kit was stated to be compatible with the backplate, which it is, however it does not quite "snap" into place like it does with the default controller. I was pleased to find I received a sticker, a keychain, and some dog tags. All in all, I am pleased with the backplate, I guess that I just had different expectations.

Got mine a couple days ago. Putting it together was fairly easy, forgot about the 7th screw under the serial number behind the battery pack. I really like the weight of how it feels now, not too heavy. Solid would be the best way to describe it.
