The Everyday Africa book has printed!
We hope you've been well! We're writing with some exciting news: last week, the Everyday Africa book printed. We can honestly say these photographs have never looked so good, and are more excited than ever for the final book to be in our hands and yours!
To see more images of the bookmaking process, check out this photo gallery of our process notes dating back over three years!
At this point, the printed pages have been sent on to be bound, and then the finished books will be shipped on to New York so that we can sign them before shipping them out to you!
We're told that both the binding and shipping will take a few weeks each, so unfortunately we are delayed another couple months in getting books to you. We sincerely apologize for this, and we appreciate your patience – but rest assured that each delay is leading to a much stronger final product!
We're also currently organizing book launch events this spring in New York and Nairobi – so we'll be back in touch ASAP with those dates and an updated schedule of when you will receive your books and prints!
Thanks again for your support! All the best,
Peter + Austin / Everyday Africa
p.s. many of you still have not filled out the survey we sent asking you for your mailing address. It should be floating around in your inbox or your Kickstarter profile somewhere... thanks!
