Ether Legends Collectible Trading Card Game!
Elementeum Games is introducing a visually astonishing, next generation physical and digital collectible trading card game called "Ether Legends." In Ether Legends, every trading card is an absolute masterpiece, illustrated by world renowned artist, Mark Ludy. Ether Legends physical trading cards also offer a simultaneous physical to digital tether feature facilitated by a one time QR code redemption. Each physical trading card has a QR code that can be scanned, using the Camera on your mobile device through the Ether Legends Collectibles Android App. The primary objective of this Kickstarter, is to officially release the physical trading card game, work with major distributors, emplacement of key personnel and facilitate the supply chain infrastructure in support of our mainstream release.
Rewards through pledging are all limited release physical goods with the added bonus feature of online, one-time digital redemption done through scanning a QR code located on the physical trading cards which enables mobile app visualization, digital ownership and digital game play upon release. To see or download our currently released Beta version of the Ether Legends Collectibles Android App, click here.
Since our pilot digital collectible trading card release in June 2019, Elementeum Games has sold over 10,000 digital trading cards. There has been exponential support in the community and the team couldn't do it without their feedback and assistance! To see all the cards owned by the community, check it out at OpenSea.
Pledging to the Cause!
By pledging to our campaign, Elementeum Games is offering amazing rewards of our generation zero (0) physical cards. Our lowest Tier includes two randomly selected trading cards of any rarity. Tier 2 begins with the trading card starter sets that contains various card rarities and special edition cards, some signed by the team and very exclusive items that will never be created again. The rewards for our contributors are limited edition physical trading cards (with digital redeemable QR code, and playable digitally upon digital game release) that are visually unique, offering foil accent features that only available to those pledging and will not be offered with the future full-rate production run of the physical trading cards.
All Ether Legends physical trading cards automatically give a player access to the online digital game upon release if you choose to do so!
As Kickstarter pledges (or Tiers) increase, so do the rewards! Guaranteed rarity, the amount of physical Elementeum power-up game counters, and the amount of cards included in the starter set. All posters available in the upper Tiers will be signed by the Ether Legends team, including world renowned artist, Mark Ludy!
Our first set of trading cards being released for full-rate production upon successful backing of the Kickstarter is Men and Beasts. There are 39 character cards of various rarity in which produced; Top borders with colors represent the following; Common (Gray), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), Legendary (Gold) and a new introduced rarity called, Prismatic (White/Silver) - being the most rare of all card types. The team has already developed the majority of a follow-on, future set, called "Bots and Bolts". Exclusive to this Kickstarter, limited edition cards are being released that feature two of the most Legendary Bots and Bolts characters, 'MOM-EE' and 'Spyder Tank,' available from Tier 5 and up and the first Prismatic rarity card ever to be produced at Tier 7.
Starter Sets that begin at the Tier 2 pledge and above include a step by step game guide to help facilitate learning and understanding of the basic physical game play. In the higher Tiers, very limited edition cards become available with all physical trading cards able to be converted to digital tokens, playable in the Ether Legends digital game upon release in late 2019. Each poster also includes a redeemable QR code and are tokenized digital assets and view-able from the Ether Legends Android app, which is currently released and available on the Google Play app store (FREE to download)! Additionally, the unique Elementeum collector's coin is cast in .999 silver are yet another bonus in the higher Tiers and will be produced on a limited basis.
The highest Tier (7) is limited to 250 contributors. The amount of contributors for this Tier will also determine the amount of the Limited Edition, prismatic physical trading cards in which will be produced. The "question mark" trading card shown below visually represents the placeholder for the prismatic card that is currently being created by Mark Ludy. Even if you don't know Mark, you can expect something truly amazing. The concept is a half beast-half bot character that symbolizes our first and upcoming trading card sets. This particular prismatic trading card will never be created again and is sure to be a super rare, limited collectible item. One last surprise for this Tier (7) is that the Prismatic trading card, the two Bots and Bolts trading cards, and the poster will all be signed by the team!
Currently, Elementeum Games is developing the mobile app digital game version. The digital game is set to release its beta version Android and iOS by the end of 2019. The Kickstarter campaign is focused on the physical trading card game and physical card market release! Secondarily focused on digital software development.
Digital Game Layout
The digital game play is the same at the basic level as the physical game. The digital game features additional functions that allow continued character progression, in-game rewards and dynamic leveling.
Game Play Overview

If you can follow this equation, chances are you can play this game! Our motto is "Minutes to learn, a lifetime to master!"
Attack (2+5=7) - Defense (2+3=5) = 2 Hit = The effectivity and success of your base abilities (More explanation covered in this section).
Choose your 3 best suited champions (characters trading cards) for a player versus player battle against your opponent’s 3 champions in the Ether Legends Arena. Roll the die to determine who starts the engagement. Choose the champion you want to employ your base ability attack or heal. Your opponent will have the chance to defend the attack or disrupt the heal. Effectivity of the employed abilities are based on attributes of each champion and are combined with a die roll in determining value of hit, defend, heal or disrupt for (value). Effectivity (value) of abilities are validated by the difference between the offensive and defensive countermeasures.
Each champion has a determined amount of hit points that can be reduced by successful attacks or increased by a successful heal. If you or your opponent are successful in your employed ability, you gain an Elementeum coin counter for a unique power up special ability. Once a champion is at their maximum capacity of Elementeum, you can unleash the special ability; packing a powerful punch, angelic healing, a stonewall of defense or mass disruption...based on the champions elemental strength. Each champion has at least one mastered ability or elemental strength that is more powerful than other base abilities. This strength and visual indication is tied to the engagement of your special ability usage.
About Elementeum Games
The company, Elementeum Games was established in the fall of 2017 and the team has been at it ever since. As you can imagine, the undertaking of a video game project, both the physical trading card game and digital, with merging of the two is extremely time consuming and offers challenging problems to solve. The team continued to grow, more interest was sought, more interest gained. The team has been self-funded and has continued to progress however, in raising additional funds, Elementeum Games can bring the trading card game to market much faster.
As the team nears the formal game play release with full-rate production of physical cards, Elementeum Games is ready to step into the mainstream market with the collectible trading card game; Ether Legends. This game is ready to be unleashed!
Going back 10 years, members of the team had discussed the possibility of creating something in the gaming genre, something you could hold, something you could interact with friends and family and have a counterpart of that 'something' digital. Many ideas were discussed and time went on. The founders had kept in touch over the years and sparked an idea to bring an amazing collectible trading card game to market. It had to be unique. It had to be different in game play and had to have player rewards and incentive. More importantly, it had to be a great game. Mark Ludy as Art Director and creative super-hero; toyed with sketches, coming up with amazing concepts that fueled the forward momentum. Curran Mulvihill (Entrepreneur and avid gamer) worked with friends and software developers to establish modern gaming mechanics simple enough that kids and adults alike could understand, yet provide enough depth and expansion for the most experienced gamer. Part of the discovery was taking the time to understand the market, the business case, the opportunity and the core of it all... The players! The Co-Founders quickly dove into what was and what wasn't liked about current mainstream games to make their case. The team wanted to not only make it visually astonishing with a real connection to the artwork but also bring to market something any gamer or card collector could appreciate, benefit from and be a part of for years to come.
The Lore of Ether Legends
Lore can be viewed here
Your time is valuable. In this case, you as the player, keep what you earn, collect, and create when entering digital market. Ether Legends is offering complete asset ownership and control in providing physical and digital assets.
As a player in mainstream games, you are constrained by what you own in terms of your digital content. Characters you create, digital skins, items or "loot"; all of the digital content generated by you, is owned by large corporations. This also means, players are powerless; with no control of managing their accounts and face consequences of being banned if terms are violated. You purchase the digital goods, why shouldn't you be able to own it? Essentially, you are paying a middle man to manage your generated content which you never truly own. We care about changing this with our game, giving the power back to the players. All content generated is always yours with total control and without question!
Physical collectible cards generally serve one purpose; having something tangible, to have and to hold. How do you get the best of both worlds; assets that exist in the physical and digital world? The Ether Legends collectible trading card game provides the ability to merge physical trading cards and digital trading cards (1 to 1). Meaning, any physical card obtained can be redeemed online as a one-of-a-kind trading card token, owned and controlled by you, the player. Even better, each collectible trading card redeemed online is the actual trading card that will be used in the digital game upon release.
Additionally, the team has spent a significant amount of time making sure each and every card is an absolute masterpiece, where no card goes to waste, regardless of rarity. Each trading card can be used or reused in a digital circular economy with additional digital mechanic features, one of which is called 'Forging'. Forging is essentially a way to use your digital trading cards to craft new characters with new abilities, rarity and visualization. This feature is in the testing phase and will be integrated in the digital game, iOS and Android app, upon release.
The team has also involved multiple members of the community in thorough testing of game mechanics. Many adjustments have been made over the past 2 years to get it balanced and ready for release.
Blockchain Technology Platform and why it matters?
Put simply, Blockchain technology is a public immutable ledger the autonomously facilitates transactions that eliminates the need for middlemen through a decentralized network consensus. In the digital version of the game, tokens on the network represent ownership of digital data, thus representing digital assets. Its a lot to take in and isn't the primary focus of our project. It is however, an important feature that provides safety, security and digital content ownership for all players.
With this technology being in its infancy, it is crucial to make the game interface, user experience and integration seamless.
The goal with the Ether Legends Trading Card game is to provide players a game that is visually astonishing, fun, collectible and unique where players can connect with the artwork, story, game play and be playable for ages 13 and up. Elementeum Games wants to expand to the mainstream with a full game ecosystem with mass-adoption in both the physical and digital arena (pun intended).
At the conclusion of a successful Kickstarter, the team will officially release the physical version of Ether Legends Trading Card Game and is already provisioned to be fully integrated with both physical (full rate production) and digital (Beta: digital game release on Android / Apple) aspects of the project in 2019.
Kickstarter Funding being used for...
1. Full production run of the first Ether Legends set; "Men and Beasts" featuring 39 unique, collectible character masterpieces, packaging, accessories (Game Starter Kits, card packs) for official public release. This includes the supply chain infrastructure and next generation digital provisions with simultaneous connectivity. Money will be spent on obtaining personnel to help grow with marketing and developing relationships with major retail outlets and distributors for the physical trading card game.
2. QR code physical to digital redemption; Having already proven the concept and doing low-rate production on a subset of limited release of cards, higher quantity purchases are necessary to automate the production process with QR codes being a part of the print run. Currently the team manually assembles the trading card products and is unsustainable on a large scale. Large quantity orders of cards are required to remain cost effective/competitive in enabling the unique online, one-time digital redemption of Ether Legends trading cards.
3. Completing the 2nd Ether Legends card set; "Bots and Bolts" has already been conceived with about 1/3 of the design, artwork and game elements completed. Funding would allow for the creators to continue to create beyond the current scope of the Men and Beasts card set. To continue at an increased pace of new content releases, additional personnel are needed to keep up with a full rate production pace, including the ongoing upgrades, enhancements and sustainment of the digital and physical game aspects.
4. Completing the added depth item enhancement physical card set. The game is currently being released in its most basic form and has been designed to include provisions of additional cards that add to the depth of game play. This will add additional dynamics and enable the team to produce the cards for additional item enhancement cards.
5. Documentation, guides and transition of the physical game to a mobile digital game platform requires thorough documentation. Design and architecture aspects have been completed. Additional prototyping and development is underway and clearly depicted documentation is needed to facilitate understanding of the rules, tips, tricks and other game aspects.
6. Development for seamless digital UE (User Experience) of gaming and collecting. Simple to use, as it would be for any game. Blockchain technology is in its infancy and the technology must be in the background facilitating the gaming platform, not impeding the ability of players to have gaming enjoyment. Seamlessness and interoperability is crucial to the success of an amazing gaming experience. Additional time spent in addressing the user experience will benefit and allow for any player interact with our gaming platform and ecosystem.
The possibilities are endless. Ongoing release of trading cards will continue with each set bringing new characters, abilities and features. The team has conceived as many as 5 additional character sets for future growth and use. 'Ether Legends' is the first game to be released, and Elementeum Games fully intends to have more to follow!
Risks and challenges
The risk to the creation of physical to digital trading cards is relatively low. Elementeum Games has already produced several trading cards and done extensive risk reduction in proving all aspects between physical and digital and verified that it is more than achievable. The team has released an app that redeems the unique QR code and enables simultaneous tokenized ownership. Staff has already been quoted to create the card set packaging in mass quantity. Unforeseen costs could include rework for low quality prints, low production runs or damaged goods.
Delays in production are possible based on timing in the card runs. Typically it takes 4-5 weeks for the cards to be received in-hand, and many times much sooner. Coin (Both silver and brass) production typically takes up to 6 weeks.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
