Make/100 - Colour Picker Enamel Pins
Make/100 2019 - a series of 100 enamel pins based on the colour picker used in all your favourite design programs.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Wed, February 6 2019 3:38 PM UTC +00:00.
In 2018, I took my first steps into the world of enamel pins. I funded those first pins here on Kickstarter. Since then, I've been hoping to get some new designs manufactured. Make/100 is the perfect opportunity to add a new design to my offerings this year.
The Colour Picker pin is based on the standard colour pickers seen in most art and design programs. It's a symbol most designers and digital artists will know well and see every day. The pin features a hole through the fill colour, allowing the colour of your clothes, your bag, or whatever you pin it on, to show through.
The pins will be made in nickel, shining a bright silver colour. Each one will be 25mm across. They'll come on randomly packed backing cards in one of 5 colours, each with a photographic texture. These are printed on a nice thick card with a soft satin finish.
The pins are designed with colour in mind - They'll show off whatever colour you put them on, so they'll look equally great on your bag, or a bright t-shirt. Everything you wear them with will change how they look.
I've worked previously with the manufacturer, on my first ever pins, so I know their quality and customer service are excellent. Below you can see my first ever pins. Like them, these will use soft enamel, with raised metal outlines, so the pins have a slightly 3D look and feel to them.
The goal of £300 covers the cost of production for 100 pins and backing cards, the shipping costs for all your backer rewards, and the Kickstarter fees. And there's a little left over just in case anything unexpected crops up.
I'm an independent artist and designer, slowly trying to make my way into the world of enamel pins. I've only had a few designs manufactured so far, but hope to add many more in the future.

Risks and challenges
Manufacturing issues - If my design has elements that could cause manufacturing errors, there may be a slight delay while the design is fixed. This means pins could ship out later than expected. I've worked with the manufacturer before, so I know they have a great design team to help fix any problems.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
