FARM ATTACK: Action RPG Unusual Game

UPDATE #10: Farm Attack? What is this?
The game was created by accident and based on a simple idea to begin with: there was a farm and its farmer who needed to defend his corn plantation with all his might, but then we acknowledge that we could give the scenario more depth, so to the action we added variety and strategic elements like being able to buy from the "Family shop" traps and power-ups which can be placed on the fields at the start of every level. In order to be able to buy such "infernal contraptions" Geremia will need to collect grains of corn throughout the levels, which will then allow him to pay for his purchases at the ship run by Charlotte (His psychopath wife). Furthermore, we have added to "Farm Attack" some power-ups which Charlotte, from time to time, without warning, will launch on the "battlefield" from the house's chimney. By collecting these packages, Geremia will obtain power-ups which will make him surprisingly become an assault soldier, a clown with a useless weapon, a man from space with a freezing laser and so on ( we don't want to spoil the surprise).
We have managed to give the game depth ( an we are still trying to improve this) with an entity management RPG style: each insect, character and corn cob have their value which are not revealed to the player, but which nevertheless are in the game structure. The corn which needs to be defended can be classified in three stages (Healthy, wounded, dying) and according to which insect attacks, it will take different types of damage. This concept also applies to the insects, which have different characteristics and abilities: flying insects will be able to overcome obstacles by flying (such as: the electric wire fencing, the bottomless well and so on). Furthermore each insect has different resistance levels to Geremia's attacks. There are flying insects like the butterfly, the dragonfly, others which crawl underground and then suddenly emerge, others which chase the corn, attack the farmer or break his dispenser, without which he is defenseless until his wife doesn't appear in the chimney to give him a shiny new weapon to combat the the ravenous horde!
The playing field does not scroll (it is a fixed screen) but it undergoes changes during game play according to the weather and season. This is a rough picture of the work we are doing, even though there are many other aspects we could talk about, such as the mini-games which can be found between levels, the survival mode, the animals, the achievements and the challenges.
In brief, we are trying to develop a game for mobile devices which will entertain and be straightforward, but also durable and demanding and not just another soulless "distraction".
We are a group of friends (American and Italian) who have known each other since their childhood.
As it happens when growing up, each of us has taken their own paths. After many years, we are now "adults" who have made their own choices. As if fate had already planned that we should meet again to give life to a dream; a writer (Antonio Ferrara), an architect (Sebastiano Fiorillo), an electrical engineer (Giovanni Climaco), a computer engineer (Antonio Climaco), an entrepreneur (Flaviano Sdegno) , a designer (Sara Staffelli), a musician (Marco Mariconda), a linguist (Marcella Leyva), a clown (Penny), a maniac (Jason), a droid (R2) and a dog named Luna met for a pizza.
Together, a year ago, we decided to make a dream we shared when we were kids playing videogames (we obviously still play them) come true: create our own game which would be great, crazy and funny.
To tell the truth, Luna did not agree straight away, but a handful of doggy treats soon made her change her mind. After this project, we would like to establish an independent software house.
This is a game which has been created by gamers for gamers.

The game will initially be available for IOS and MAC OS systems, but we're aiming to create a version of Android shortly.
Geremia maliciously shoos away a snail from his sweetcorn plantation. Upon returning home, the snail tells all the insects in the forest what has happened.
The damage is done. Revenge!
They all proceed to vote at Insectland Grand Council. The board decides to punish Geremia for the insult received, and so the insect horde organizes an assault on the farm to devastate the sweetcorn plantation.
Meanwhile Geremia calmly sips his tea with his wife when suddenly from his window he sees the insects marching towards his plantation.
The Farmer, determined to eradicate the threat, arms himself with his trusted DDT dispenser, and goes out to face battle.
Going on with the levels the seasons will alternate affecting the gameplay and dynamics, plus weather changes as rain, snowfalls, night levels.
Be careful and don't stop under the rain cloud or you'll be struck by lightning!

Most of the staff of "FARM ATTACK" has been working on “Farm Attack” in their spare time, and while we’ve managed to finish a bit of work, there’s still a long way to go.
We need your funding to help us keep our staff on full-time and hire additional staff to speed up the production of the game. We’re not just trying to build one great Action Game with the tools and assets we create – we want to keep delivering new and exciting Action Games to you. But first we need to get “Farm Attack” finished, and that’s going to take the support of fans like you.
Where does the money go? It pays salaries, goes to licenses for software and equipment, and gives us flexibility to bring on additional people at certain stages of the project. We’re asking for enough to get the project done, but we’ve also got stretch goals that will allow us to add more content to the game. Once we get funded, we will be showing off our progress here and on our forums and website regularly. We’ve been very open with our fans about the project, and we’ll continue to be throughout the whole production process."
