DSLR compatibility

Posted by Erik Vonk (Creator)

Hi Guys,

The question of the day has been is this system compatible with DSLR camera's (or other camera's that are mounted on a 1/4 inch tread)

Well I have given this a quick test and the results are promising, and will explore this further to come up with a solution next week. The test I did was with a Panasonic GH2 with a 14-140mm lens (this setup is the heaviest I have at 950 grams). It felt stable and I was never worried the setup wasn't strong enough. I don't know how this will work when you are running or basejumping but that isn't anything I would recommend anyway (with or without DSLR)

The next couple of days I will explore various Ball Head's to see what works best (and is cost effective) If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Below are 2 pictures of the setup with the Panasonic

Thanks for your support and feel free to share ;-)
