Is this one of those dead projects on Kickstarter that never gets completed? Hope not. It will be sad to see Robert A. Heinlein's name linked to such without him being alive to save his brand.

    2. Joseph Capdepon II on March 1

Let's see....the last update we had was in December.

Since that point, no contact, no updates, no answers to questions.

Really would like to know what is happening and if I, or anyone who pledged money will ever get the product we paid for.

If not, it would be nice if we could get our money back.

I will say, this is the last time I ever back a project created by Eric, or if it has any ties to Eric.

I'm starting to wonder if there is a way we can contact Kickstarter to see what steps need to be taken on getting answers to the questions we have.

A refund or the product promised.

      Which will it be?

      on February 26

Just wondering how are the last chapters going? Any more sneak previews of the art? The mother-thing from the last update was completely adorable. Thanks

    4. Joseph Capdepon II on February 26

      Still waiting on an update.

      Will we get an update?

      Is an update forthcoming?

Can we expect a graphic novel?

      Can we expect refunds?

Is Eric even checking the Kickstarter or just ignoring the comments?

    5. Joseph Capdepon II on February 25

We are rapidly approaching two years since this was funded.

      What is the status?

Anything? Anything at all? Any comment? Are we ever going to see the product we paid for? Any of it?

Or do we all need to start trying to figure out how to get our money back?

Eric or whomever really needs to respond to the queries and give an update.

A new update would be appreciated. Thanks.

So, It has been almost 2 more months since the last update. Any word yet?

    8. Keith Glass on December 14

And to add to my friend Joseph's comments, it tells me that this is likely the LAST Heinlein graphic novel, at least under the helm of this team. Massive delays BEFORE the crisis of Harvey do not give any level of confidence in the ability of this team to deliver as promised. . .

    9. Joseph Capdepon II on December 14

Is there any word on if this is going to happen or not?

I'd like to know if I am going to get the product I back, or if I should start demanding a refund for my money.

I understand that Harvey was a bad deal. I live in Houston as well.

I paid a nice sum of money for a product that was promised 11 months ago. I've been okay with delays, but still no product.

No word from Eric or anyone associated with this about the status of this project.

I understand that it is the Christmas season.

The people who backed this project really would like answers as to if we are ever going to get the product we paid for, or if we are going to have to seek refunds, by whatever means that may be, for the product we were promised because at this point, it is looking like it will not be delivered.

Just hoping for an update, it was mentioned sometime around Thanksgiving and we're now into December.

      Hi Eric,
We’re into December now, and hopefully you have recovered from all the problems.
How are you doing with the book ? I accept that you are well behind, but it would be good if we had an update on progress.

I look forward to the book when you are able to complete it.

    13. Francis Chen on October 3

My apologies for my mean spirited comments.

    14. Francis Chen on September 23

I guess I’m screwed out of my money. Enjoy the cash you all ripped me off of! Ta ta

Please keep in mind at this point that these folks are sitting in the middle of the Harvey flooding. I haven't driven by to see what their status is physically (It would be a 7+ hour round trip, though normally it would be less than an hour each direction), but significant parts of Houston are still impassable and they may have had flooding.

      on August 30, 2017

Almost September! Is there anything you can tell us about when the book will be ready ?

    18. Joseph Capdepon II on August 4, 2017

The newest update says you have sent things out for the reward levels, but I have yet to receive anything.

    19. Retired Marine

5 Months of silence is getting a bit much, perhaps just a word or two on progress, perhaps a picture or two of the artist in work? Some news and any news is better than this silence.

    20. Joseph Capdepon II on August 2, 2017

      So, any update?

Will I ever receive anything from my pledge?

    21. Tina Klassen
      on August 2, 2017

Just wondering if there is an update on this, is everything running smoothly for a Fall 2017 release?

    22. Netobvious
      on July 28, 2017

Yes, this is become one of those Kickstarters of concern. I have also moved address and the creators have not acknowledged the message. Total silence.

"Have spacesuit, will abscond" should be the name of the comic book.

    23. Francis Chen on July 3, 2017

      Still nothing.

    24. Francis Chen on June 19, 2017

      Still no information

Nah, these are good folks and will likely deliver the product. Getting something published is not always a smooth process and graphic novels can be challenging. On a Side note, Eric, if you are not using a fulfilment center to directly ship, please just let me know when mine arrives and I'll drive down again to pick it up like last time. Thanks!

    26. James E on June 3, 2017

      Looking like vaporware, again.

    27. Francis Chen on May 31, 2017

I have not received a survey.

    28. Joseph Capdepon II on May 28, 2017

What is the status of the project?

    29. Scott Austin
      on April 24, 2017

Have you sent out surveys for this yet?

    30. Keith Glass on January 16, 2017

We still on track for this month ??

    31. Christopher Greenstein on December 28, 2016

Also hoping for an update in the near future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    32. Alan Coffman on December 11, 2016

Any updates? It's been a while.

    33. Tina Klassen
      on November 28, 2016

Haven't seen an update on this one for awhile. Hope that means everything's running on schedule? I'm super excited about this one :)

    34. Edward Beale on July 29, 2016

A really nice project. I know what it takes to send out rewards to dozens and dozens and dozens of backers, so take it slow and easy. My backers supported me through almost 3 years of development, travel, illness, moving, and any other trial you could imagine short of a flood. In the end the product was FANTASTIC and everyone ended up very happy. The two main things are 1) communicate and 2) keep moving. Can't wait to see more.

    35. Francis Chen on July 29, 2016

Everything looks great! Is it possible to add to the pledge to get a patch, too? I think $50 more?

    38. Russell Sparks on July 9, 2016

Don't have a twitter account, but I would definitely love to see Star Beast done as the next graphic novel!

    39. Jeff Paul on July 8, 2016

So, is there a way to pledge for all three books?

How about doing the patch as an add-on?

    42. Angel BBQ
      on June 14, 2016

So in CtoG I backed it for the two pack one Hard and a soft. My question is also will we be able to get the hard cover or is that a stretch goal?

    43. Daniel Sanchez on June 14, 2016

Will there be a Hardcover option available? I backed the Hardcover version of CotG and would like to have a consistent look of these on my shelf if possible.

I also would like to order at least two copies, how would one go about this?

    45. Christopher Greenstein on June 7, 2016

Proud to be part of the crew! Heinlein's stories were a wonderful escape and inspiration to me to keep going when I was a kid. HSSWT was one of my favorites... I hope this effort helps bring his stories to new readers and inspire new generations to reach for the stars and never give up, no matter the odds or challenges. Looking forward to seeing what extra goodies there will be in the stretch goals! :-)

    46. Nunyafb Izness on June 2, 2016

One last question may I get a second copy of the book to give as a gift? If so how much do I need to increase my pledge by?

    47. Nunyafb Izness on June 2, 2016

OOp's I missed that we get an EBook copy my bad

    48. Nunyafb Izness on June 2, 2016

I'm Soooooo looking forward to this new book the first was such great fun to read. BTW will pledge makers be offered PDF versions of the book. I never cracked the spine of my hard copy as I wanted to keep it pristine. Pip
