A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Omni-Pot is making offices green again!
Omni-Pot is starting a movement to bring plants, with their known health and productivity benefits, back into the crowded, modern work / living spaces of the world, now dominated by lifeless electronics. This is being made a reality with a new invention which enables potted plants to be hung and easily cared for virtually anywhere!
Designed with versatility and ease of use in mind, Omni-pot has unlocked the unclaimed "vertical ground" previously off limits to plants.
A patent pending bracketing system allows attachment to standard, fabric, and metal walls or surfaces.
By using one bracket with three different options you can hang Omni-Pots nearly anywhere, without any tools or holes left behind in the surface.
This unique approach enables Omni-Pots to be placed on nearly any vertical surface!
The same system allows Omni-Pot containers to be easily lifted on and off the bracket for watering because everyone knows water and electronics don't mix.
It is our hope this combination of versatility and ease of use, paired with Omni-Pot's unmatched ability to work safely around electronics, will help usher in a Potted Plant Renaissance, which is sorely needed.
Personal potted plants have become an "endangered species" in today's office and small space ecosystems. An ever increasing number of high-tech devices, and their accessories, are all competing for the same limited, horizontal locations. In this "winner takes all the space" environment, plants tend to be the losers.
When it comes down to a choice between a new device or a plant, the plant usually gets the short end of the stick, so to speak.
However the Omni-Pot revolution is changing the equation. It's no longer an either/or question. You can now have both. Give the horizontal surfaces over to the modern devices and reclaim the vertical ground for our oldest, greenest, and healthiest of neighbors - plants.
*Studies have confirmed what most of us already know. Having plants around makes us feel better. Whether it's the cleaner air or something more spiritual, the fact is, adding plants to the workplace increases happiness and productivity by 15% compared to "lifeless" offices.
Even with the knowledge of plants many benefits, the modern work / living places aren't changing quickly. There just aren't many good places to put plants any more...until now that is. By utilizing the unclaimed vertical ground all around us, Omni-Pots are allowing potted plants to thrive in our modern world once again, bringing all the benefits, without losing the coveted, horizontal ground, which is in ever shorter supply.
To fully realize the potential of the Potted Plant Revolution, we need to get Omni-Pots into mass production and usage.
Please help us make this dream a reality by sharing our story with your friends and family on social media and by purchasing one of our reward packages. Thank you for your support!
*Below are some of the many studies and articles about the benefits of plants in the workplace:
We're currently producing prototypes on a 3D printer - problem is, 3D printing is slow. We can print out a bracket/pot combo in about four hours - which means with our goal to have these in packs of three it takes us just about twelve hours to fulfill one order. To make it possible to bring plants to the office at scale, we're going to need many more pots (or just way more hours of production). So we've decided to have the final product injection molded - problem is there are base volume requirements. If we can't get enough backers, we wont hit our minimum volume requirements and we'll need to find another way to make offices green again.
