It is modern day in our world, in a time not too distant from ours. Luka Sanguis, a traumatized, anti-social college student has his life turned upside down when a mysterious girl with glistening white hair appears in his room, claiming to be his wife.
Between hunting Daemons by night and dealing with the struggles of personal life by day, Luka must now deal with another trouble - tangling with God herself.

This campaign is being run by Epic Works and our publisher, Top Hat Studios, in order to raise funds for both extra content and additional improvements for Rainbow Dreams. As a proverbial 'chunnige', Rainbow Dreams requires a lot more assets and polish than most other games in the visual novel genre. To achieve the level of polish we have in mind, we've decided to reach out to the community to raise funds for such a purpose in exchange for valuable rewards!
The project was slated for release in Q1, but has been pushed to Q2 to accommodate both the campaign as well as the various new content and improvements that would be added as a result of it. The game does contain mature content, however this will not be included in the base steam version - we are looking into distributing this as a DLC patch, but cannot confirm this yet due to Steam's high variability when it comes to approving content for visual novels. Our publisher, Top Hat Studios as well as other publishers, have had issues with Steam over this, so we're playing it safe here. People who pledge can receive both a DRM-Free, uncensored copy as well as a Steam key.
Rainbow Dreams features roughly 5-8 hours of play arising from a word count of more than 70-80K+ words, 20+ CGs, and 12 music tracks. The visual novel is mostly kinetic; however, there are a number of different choices which lead to different outcomes. Based on our past ventures with Episicava Vol. 1 and AA, we've learned a lot about how to structure our stories, especially choices, and we've done our best to improve upon these things in this project. As part of this, we've also decided to focus the storytelling around a single romantic interest for a deeper narrative experience.
Our campaign also supports add-ons! Make a custom pledge (or add additional funds) to receive an add-on. Q: Why the Campaign?
A: We've launched on Kickstarter to fund the extra content and art polish for Rainbow Dreams. In addition, variability with Steam's approval process has forced us to re-evaluate our approach to distribution, and we want to guarantee fans will be able to receive the game, as well as associated goodies, independent of success on these distribution platforms.
Q: How will I receive the game?
A: The game is available through DRM-Free distribution and/or a steam key. You can also receive the game through Top Hat's upcoming storefront, Hat Rack.
Q: For a project this ambitious, why is the goal so low?
A: The goal here is only part of our total budget, and will be used for reinvesting into the game to provide the best quality possible. Most of our total budget has already been accounted for through investments by Top Hat Studios, as well as our many Patrons and Fans alike.

Risks and challenges
We are very close to seeing release on Steam as well as Top Hat Studio's upcoming storefront, Hat Rack, and have launched this kickstarter to fund some extra content we added to cover for special content, or for additional expenses in the worst case scenario of it being rejected from Steam. The game will see release in it's proper form by the planned release date.
We have experience with fulfillment of rewards and goals in a timely manner, not to mention our publisher studio. We have multiple fulfilled rewards in the past, such as our prior campaign, Episicava. Naturally, such events like delays may occur, but never to the point of frustration on the side of backers.
One issue that may arise, however, is the game being delayed or barred from Steam's release thanks to their new policy, which has seen a high variability in the approval process for Visual Novels. However, we're doing our best in order to maximize the chances of the game being approved, and as of now, do not foresee any issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
