Tweaking, more tweaking, and ...production!
I'll be honest here...
Things are going very well!
But, before we get into that, let's talk about "the elephant in the room"... and that is the shipping date.
It's February 9th as I type this and shipping is meant to be in February, right?
The good news is ...things are still on track for February shipping. I've spent over 1.5 weeks making small tweaks and adjustments to the cnc-machining (little problems I did not anticipate).
Things are fairly dialed-in now though. We have just over 40 blades about to be heat-treated and then sharpened (we are doing them in batches).
The scales are going really well - here's some photos of the CAD/CAM side of things:
Here are the blanks about to be machined:
Here's the inside of the scales after operation 1:
And here's the outside of the scales after the operation 2:
One more thing...
On the inside of the scales I've machined in a pattern to make it look better.
Yeah, I know, no one is going to see it. But I know it's there ...and YOU now know it's there. :-)
Here's a close-up of the pattern:
And I think that's it for today (super-quick update as I'm milling as I type this!)

To impossibly high standards,
P.S. In the next update I'm going to show you the new, custom-made titanium pivot screws - they've turned out very cool!
