Firstly, thank you for your patience... I mentioned at the start of this project that there would be few updates to begin with (but there would be more later on).

Well, this is "later on"...

I've been working away on the Flixx knives. I made a few test fixtures (that's the "base" that holds the various knife parts while they are machined).

From these initial fixtures I had confidence to build a much larger fixture. I am going to show you this larger fixture in this update (I will then do another update very soon).

Here I've drilled around 100 or so holes and tapped each one (so I can screw M5 cap screws into the fixture to hold parts down):

.

Next I machine away a bunch of material - here is halfway through this process:

.

And here it is around one hour later:

.

Up the middle of the fixture we can fit 16 blades:

.

I have got some more photos (but I will show you these in the next update).

For now - here is a little video of a simulation I ran to see how close I could machine to a cap screw (represented by the grey cylinder on the left) without hitting the it!

I think that's all I have for you today.

To impossibly high standards,

Magnus

P.S. One more thing... (since I know you like knives :-)

In case you missed it... I've just released a pre-order page for a very special "Flipper" Knife which will go into production soon and delivered later this year (Click Here to check it out):

Thank you for the update. Are you still on track to have these completed and delivered by the end of the month, as the campaign originally estimated?
