Matt et.al. - Like the other posters, I can't help but be a bit disppointed with another gruelling period of waiting - I do think being this late is pushing things a bit, but I do understand your reasoning, and I'm glad that you're open about it. I wish you the very best of luck in the festival circuit!

That said - the last time I backed a film related KS project, it ended up seeing a release on Netflix on the very same day us backers got access to our download, whereas those backing for physical media didn't receive their copy until months later. I'll admit up front that I would be disappointed if the same strategy was used here. I absolutely understand the need to be present on various streaming services, but I do think that backers deserve a slight head start.

Falkon - Thanks for sharing your feelings. It's definitely been a long haul but we've planned and budgeted every penny very carefully (part of the reason for the second campaign, in fact, which significantly allowed us to enhance the film). We understand we have a duty to you who have supported us, and want to assure you that this film, for a number of reasons, could not have been completed any faster than it has been for several reasons (editorial, project scope, interview subjects, creative, distribution and legal, to name a few out of our control). There are a lot of layers to this film, tackling an industry never before tackled, and you'll be pleased with the end result :)

holy crappers, i'm excited and totally let down. I backed another documentary on kickstarter and the same thing happened where it was like 2.5 yrs later before the digital version of the film was released, and we're still waiting for the dvd to be shipped like 3 years later. This might be my last time I participate in this type of venture. Jeremy Soule also added icing on the cake for his project that is now lost in the ether somewhere. I'm more disappointed in that you raised additional funds both of which exceeded your goal and it's still pushed back like a year beyond what you proposed. It doesn't seem like your managed your project very well. But at least you got your money and you guy's are off to do more good things no doubt.

Andrew - We hear you and totally understand your feelings. Believe us, no one has been more motivated to finish and release the film than we have. Thank you for hanging in there with us. We think you'll find the result has been worth the wait.

While am glad to finally hear a release window, November for backers? the wait has felt like forever already now another 7 months? I get it, the content of this documentary is greater since the campaign started but given when this campaign started and was said to be completed, that's alot to ask of original backers of the campaign, it almost feels like having a est option on KS is redundant since the extra time taken in this project, again am looking forward to finally seeing it but doesn't the wait any easier, I don't want to come off as negative so forgive me if that's the impression am giving its just development cycles in general like in video games when game devs announce dates too early or bite off more they can chew when it comes to meeting a deadline, once again, am glad it's finally coming together and look forward to it and apologies if my comment is a bit strong, I appreciate the hard work and effort that's been put into this project by everyone involved.
