Welcome! Story of Hurt is a project that I began planning years ago. I Wrote, Produced, Directed, and will be editing the film myself. It was shot on color Super 16mm film stock, run through some special processing, and desaturated to black and white.
The budget for the project is somewhere around the $40,000 mark with some donations coming in through Film Action Oregon (non-profit fiscal sponsor). The source of the majority of the funds, however, have been through loans and credit cards. I am currently maxed out on credit card debt and seeking $4500 more for post production costs that will go towards the acquisition of the digitized footage on hard drives so I can begin editing. The footage is being transferred on a Spirit Telecine to DPX and Prores files.

I hope that you will find this project unique and interesting enough to spread the word to others to help me reach my goal. The last day of my funding cycle is February 11th, my birthday!

"Story of Hurt" has fiscal sponsorship through Portland Oregon based non-profit, Film Action Oregon (filmaction.org). Please contact them or me directly for information on receiving a tax-deduction.

thanks!
