WE did it!! In the 11th hour, with mere hours to go, we have surpased the goal of $7,700!! Now it's time to make history!!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Surfing people's couches is not just a free place to stay for travelers. Beyond cultural exchange even, this documentary seeks to show the world how everyday people like US can use CouchSurfing to change our lives! We follow the universal missions of THREE passionate Surfers who use this website as a platform to show what happens when you leave the comfort of your cubicles and make your dreams happen in this compelling film!

The three surfers from three different parts of the world will go to the end of the earth to fulfill their missions. In this film, we explore how different parts of the world "do love", attempt to fulfill their life purpose and passions, all while testing the generosity and good nature of humanity.

CS CREW:
We have a great crew, consisting of producers David Vega (Arizona), Zohra Allana (Pakistan) subjects and videographers Tay & Val (from Singapore), on their http://www.ibelievethatdreamscancometrue.com/ mission -- as well as Cathy Brown (Argentina) , doc filmmaker Larry Stone (Seattle) cameraman Nick Boire (Long Island, NY) producer/fundraiser Jude Parkin (Australia), produder Emile (South Africa), fundraiser Mikey from Reno, production assistant Jill Nieman (SF), fundraiser guru-ess Kelly Patternson (DC), producer Jean-Michele (LA), cinematographer Jorge Said, Chi producer and Burningman camera man Jon Wells (Ohio), subject Ramon S (Netherlands now Cambodia - www.letmestayforaday.com) and San Franciscan- NYC fllm-maker, Alexandra Liss (me) . At Burningman in August we will meet with CouchSurfer, Leigh, who has traveled with her husband Noah and 6 year-old-daughter Lila for the last four years. Her mission is to bring people together via social media to develop community and create collaborative works of art http://cloudhead.org/

WHAT WE NEED THE MONEY FOR:

Editors, camerahands, website, audio equipment, HARD DRIVES, and ideally a Canon 60D (http://www.youtube.com/watch... - necessary for extensive travel) or 7D works great too. If not, the Canon XH-A1 will be used. So PLEASE every dollar counts so please don't wait to see what happens, walk the walk and contribute!!

WHAT ELSE DO WE NEED:

CO-PRODUCERS: We are looking for an additional co-producer/director of photography to accompany me on this trip.

CAMERA : The travel sized and magnificent quality of a Canon 60D would be ideal!! So if anyone has a similar camera that can be used for this trip, GREAT!! 7D would suffice too!

SUBJECT #3 - We are looking for the final CouchSurfing subject while on the journey that has a powerful and compelling mission and would be dedicated to be the third, missing piece to complete this documentary.

MUSIC: has been donated by Brazilian CSer, Leo, and East Bay's finest, Juan Perez and Laila Perez... But we are still looking for more world music.

ART/GRAPHIC DESIGN: Poster/DVD Art - Donated by talented CS artist living in Thailand," Cecenobre" http://www.flickr.com/photos/ocece. Still looking for Graphic Designers/Web designers/illustrators.

TRAVEL SPONSORSHIP: Looking Airlines/travel companies interested in sponsoring this unique journey.

ADDITIONAL FUNDS: Yes $7,700 is the BARE minimum to start production, but we definitely could use more, so please don't hesitate to surpass this goal!!
