CHECK OUT OUR KICKSTARTER T-SHIRT!
Our friends over at Cricket Press have really outdone themselves - check out our exclusive Kickstarter T-Shirt!

We're going to stick something on the back, too (like a track list) and it'll be available in whatever size you need, either in a Unisex cut or a fitted women's cut.
It'll only be available through the Kickstarter campaign, so if you'd like one (or more) you can either grab the $60 package (with a signed cd, advance digital download and newspaper) or you can toss an extra $20 on your existing pledge and send us a message letting us know you've done so. (No need to adjust your reward selection - that'll just confuse us.)
Hope you like it!
FREE SONG AND LIMITED-EDITION POSTER
Well, we're creeping up on $50,000 and the summer's just getting started. We've been busy - let me fill you in.
We've had Sara at www.cricket-press.com working day and night on some designs for us, and we're delighted to launch an EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED-EDITION 16x20" POSTER right here on Kickstarter. It looks amazing!

Each poster is hand-printed on 100lb paper from custom screens, numbered and signed by the artist - they really are works of art, and there are only 100 of them available! You can get them in a package with the download, signed CD and newspaper ($80), or you can add one (or more) to the rewards you're already getting for $40 a pop - just adjust your pledge accordingly and send us a message on Kickstarter. Since we'll be shipping these in poster tubes, we'll try to get them out to you in time for Christmas, too!
Finally - our producer Zach McNees has mixed and mastered our unreleased track "Sycamore" which we're sending out to all of our backers for free. If you don't get the email update in the next hour, just click over to "PROJECT UPDATES" up above and check out the "backers-only" post for the link.
Thanks everyone!
UNBELIEVABLE
Well, it's hard to even comprehend - but we just passed $40,000 with no signs of slowing. We've now doubled our goal in just 9 days.
Of course, this means more free stuff for YOU! As promised, now that we've hit this benchmark we'll be pressing hard copies of our "Live At Saint Claire" album and shipping them to everyone who purchased a hard copy of "The Modest Revolution" (so, everyone who pledged $20 or more).
Incidentally - these bonuses will be added on for everyone who pledges from here on out, so tell your friends: if they pledge at least $20, they'll get album demos, a download AND a hard copy of the live album for free, a free song (Sycamore) plus whatever else they get with their reward package!
500 BACKERS!
Wow. Our unofficial goal for the fundraiser was to try and get 500 backers. You guys came through big time, and we hit that number in 8 days!
As a warm-and-fuzzy thank-you bonus, we're going to have our producer Zach McNees mix an unreleased song, "Sycamore" (recorded for Whitelake but never mixed or released) and we're going to send it to all of our backers for free. Look for a download link in your email in the next few days!
GUITAR PICKS, NECKLACES AND EARRINGS!!
You asked for them, and we're happy to oblige! We've just added two new awesome rewards at the $45 and $55 levels - you can choose either five custom ETH guitar picks or a pair of guitar pick earrings and a necklace! Best yet, we'll be shipping them out separately in November, so you can get them in time for CHRISTMAS!! Check 'em out (yours might not look EXACTLY like this, since we're making them all by hand):

Get 'em while they're hot!
NOTE: If you've already made your pledge, but you'd like to add something to your package, we have a few add-on options. Just increase your pledge by the appropriate amount and send us a message here on Kickstarter detailing what you'd like added to your package! (If you're already a backer adding an item or an additional package, please don't select a different reward level. Simply adjust your pledge amount and send us a message with what you'd like us to add to your order)
ADD A LIMITED EDITION POSTER: $40
ADD AN EXCLUSIVE T-SHIRT: $20
ADD 5 GUITAR PICKS: $5
ADD A HANDMADE PAIR OF EARRINGS AND A NECKLACE: $15
UPDATE:
Well, it's been a heck of a launch. We NEVER expected the kind of response we've gotten! We hit our original goal of $20,000 in 11 hours.
It's humbling and gratifying to see this kind of support, and you can bet we'll be working ourselves to the bone to make sure the project is every bit as awesome as we know it can be!
SO WHAT NOW?
A lot of people have been asking what we've got planned now that we've reached our $20,000 goal. Well - the short answer is that $20k, although it seems like a lot, is actually only about half the amount we need.
Any money we raise that doesn't go directly towards recording costs will go towards hiring a kick-ass publicist, making a pro video and doing all those things bands do when they have a little financial flexibility. Who needs a label, right? :)
To keep it exciting along the way, we've added a couple of plateaus:

We'll also be adding new reward packages along the way - posters, guitar picks, etc. Stay tuned!

Enter the Haggis is nothing without all of you. We're so lucky to have such a dedicated and passionate group of followers and supporters! Throughout the years as the band has evolved, our fans have always been there to support us and help keep our special brand of music alive, and there aren't words to express our gratitude. You've given us the freedom to grow and evolve, and we're about ready to take the next step along that road!
Starting in October of this year, we will be back in the studio to record our 7th full length album. We've decided to use Kickstarter to help us reach the goals that we’ve set to make this album possible. We’ve put together an amazing collection of pledge rewards that we think every Haggis Head will want to be a part of, no matter what your budget! This is not a collection jar. This is a bake sale! Join us and you'll be rewarded handsomely for your generosity.
Many of you may not know that we recently parted ways with the record label we'd been with ever since Casualties of Retail. It was a little scary taking our destiny into our own hands, but we could see the music industry evolving in front of us and we knew it was time to take a chance. Our last studio album Whitelake was an incredible success and our first foray into the world of fan-funding. Because of your support we were able to create, promote and distribute our music directly to you without the help of a traditional record label. Here's one of the songs from Whitelake for you to listen to. It's called "Devil's Son". If you want to hear the rest, you can listen for free on our website - www.enterthehaggis.com
DEVIL'S SON

We've visited quite a number of amazing places in the last decade on the road - and if there's one thing we've learned in our travels, it's that every city and town is made up of unique people, and all of those people have stories to tell.
Leafing through a local paper in a small town this past winter, we were struck by the sheer number of interesting story-lines we found. After some discussion, we hit on an unusual idea: why not capture a snapshot of a single day musically? We bounced the idea around and eventually decided we were going to pick a day at random, buy a newspaper and write an entire album inspired by the stories and headlines we found within. We'd then pick up a couple thousand copies of that issue which could be sent to fans along with the new album upon its release - sort of like extra liner notes.
The next step was settling on a paper, and deciding on a date.
We knew we needed a newspaper from a major city to ensure that we'd have a wide variety of stories and topics to choose from. No problem there: ETH is from Toronto, which is the biggest and most culturally diverse city in Canada. Crazy stuff happens here every day! We bit the bullet and chose March 30th, 2012 as our "snapshot day" - and we ordered a WHOLE lot of copies of The Globe And Mail. This is what 1500 newspapers looks like:

We've since been scouring the paper, solving crosswords, reading obituaries and pulling together ideas which are evolving into songs. Only here, by choosing to support our Kickstarter, will you have the opportunity to get your very own copy of the paper to read and dissect. And trust us, there are very good reasons for you to want your own personal copy (but we can't get into those just yet). {O.W.}
The album will be recorded at Saint Claire Recording Company in Lexington KY. Saint Claire was our home for the mixing of Soapbox Heroes and the Northampton live album. It's an unbelievable place, and we're beyond excited that we finally have the chance to record an album there. Check out their website - if you'd like to come see the studio in person while we're there, we're offering a couple of different ways you can do it.
The album will be produced, engineered and mixed by Zach McNees who has had a hand in a number of ETH projects over the years including the final mix of Whitelake.
Here's the twist: our new album will be released ONE YEAR TO THE DAY after the newspaper hit the streets: March 30th, 2013. We can't wait.
One city. One day. One brand new album. And we need your help to make it happen!

Every dollar earned from your generous contribution will go directly into the production and promotion of this album (minus a small administration fee). Studio time, producers and engineers, artwork, mastering, distribution and manufacturing are just some of the costs associated with making an album independently - and we've got some really fun ideas for the packaging. The total cost of producing this album and getting it into your hands is approximately double what our initial kickstarter goal is set at. We will be updating this page and our backers with additional bonus rewards if we are able to exceed our initial goal. And remember: we'll be posting tons of updates from the studio as we go along, so everyone who decides to take the plunge and pledge will be able to follow along with us as we go!
We can’t thank you all enough for your generosity. We look forward to sharing our new music with you and seeing you all on the road this summer! And please, share this page with your friends and family and help spread the word about the new album!
(If you have any questions that aren't answered in our FAQs at the bottom of this page or the Kickstarter FAQ page, please just send us a message here on Kickstarter and we'll get you sorted out).
