A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Risks and challenges
With a background in product design, it is our commitment to design and produce a piece of excellent characteristics.
Our first challenge is to be able to convince you that this is a great and unique idea, that you should have it in your shop, office, etc.
Like many other projects we face different challenges like selection of great manufacturing partners, delivery times from our partners, shipping times, etc. But we are confident we are able to reach our goal and to be completely satisfied with the final result.
As you can see we already have the final prototype of the product, meaning we know how to produce and how to face the different obstacles we may have along the production process.
We've been working very closely with a couple CNC machined facilities to ensure the product can be done on time and with the same characteristics as the final prototype.
Thanks for making this idea a reality.
Luis and Juan.
