My name is Brian Bledsoe. I’m the creator of the Enkidu H1 phone harness. For over 20 years I have worked as a CNC machinist in the medical device industry. For more than 40 years I have been an outdoor enthusiast.
In many ways the Enkidu H1 is an amalgamation of my interests. Inspired by Jack Kirby, motocross, mountain biking, and countless hours in the gym. The Enkidu H1 is my first completed design of wearable tech.
As a participant and as an observer, I have watched as cell phone technology has advanced to the point where we now are lost without it.
The methods of access, totability, and security have been little more than your back pocket, sports bra, armband, or fannypack. All of which have their disadvantages.
The Enkidu H1 is unique in that there is no other product like it on the market. It is an original design. Created to give you the most usable access to your technology.
I found the best materials on the market. They aren’t cheap, but I wanted it to be the best it could be, so I spared no expense. The cord is latex free from one of the top companies in their field. The jewelry also is top of the line. And the centerpiece is a facsimile of the Roswell Rock! ( I suggest you Google that, not enough room to explain here).
I put my heart and soul into it. I‘ve worn it for two and a half years. Testing it in all sorts of conditions. And finally I’m ready to go into production.
What I am asking for is the funding to bring it to market. The cost of the materials, the packaging, the assembly, and the lawyers fees.
The first production run will be for 250 units! I am estimating the cost to be $6500 to purchase the aforementioned items. Once purchased, assembly will begin immediately thereafter. The first units made will go to those who participated in this Kickstarter campaign.
It is my hope that you! - Out there! - Can see the value of the Enkidu H1! If you ride a motorcycle, run, or ride a bike. If you go to the gym or even if you just want to keep up with your phone.
The Enkidu H1 is the answer.
Risks and challenges
My blind spot is with shipping. As of now I will only be shipping to the United States and Canada.
I don’t have any fancy packaging (think Apple) as that would only add to the cost, and would not add anything to the product itself. I ballparked the shipping cost between $6 -$7 per unit.
