You pick a hero and equip 3 special abilities, and your goal is to eliminate the opposing team in an arena of close combat.
The player can choose 1 of the current 3 heroes in the game, and they will be displayed as 'Hero Categories.' For example, our range hero (in the chart below), Shiya and Bara, will be under the hero category, 'Ranger of Shakara.' Shiya and Bara are in fact different options of 'Armor Set.' Each Hero Category offers an unique set of 6 active abilities that Shiya and Bara share, and they can each equip a maximum of 3 abilities to the arena. Each Armor Set varies a little differently. For example, Shiya is faster in movement and attack speed but has lower damage, and Bara has higher damage but is slower in speed.
After your hero is set up, you can choose to play 1 of the 2 modes we're introducing for our first release. The Arena mode is our multiplayer competitive feature where players can fight against other players to gain Ceria Credits to purchase new gears, weapons, abilities, access to new heroes, or arenas. It's a match between 2 opposing teams, and you win by eliminating all enemy heroes within a certain time limit. If ties in number of heroes when the timer hits zero, it'll render a tie, and no one gains any credits. Survival games focus on killing waves of incoming AI until your playing hero deceased or quits. This mode can go on as long as it needs to. There will be a boss coming in every several rounds for a chance to gain epic loots from boss kills.
Our goal is to make sure our players not be threatened by an overwhelming interface and go through a steep learning curve in order to have fun. By stripping away complicated UI controls, what remains is a simpler and more focused user experience. It is not only more user friendly, but can in fact, allow you the player to focus more on the strategy and the psychology of competing against your opponents rather than on who can control a more complex system more effectively.
Console and pc games have established control systems, but the mobile platform is fairly new. Most hardcore games on the mobile platform utilize virtual buttons to trigger in-game commands, and it’s just not as effective as pressing on an actual physical button. Our goal is to allow our smartphone players to compete with the same level of advantage against players who are using a mouse or a controller, and that led our prototype development to focus on how to take advantage of the touchscreen technology by utilizing finger gestures instead, and there's a balance.
When we launch the game, it will be free-2-play. MoAR's freemium model ensures players would not gain advantage in an arena by paying more. We want our players to only pay as much as he or she’s willing to immerse in our game. Purchases for our in-game currency can be redeemed for cosmetic upgrades and access to new arenas, heroes, and abilities. All of which will not break balance when competing against other players.
We're introducing the "GG" (Good Game) button allowing you to compliment a player after each match. Each player's name is like a brand; you're building your fame with each match, and "GG" measures the respect you gain from other players. Other players can engage you, ask you questions, or even queue a match allowing you to do fan matches should you decide to.
We have established a strong foundation for the game's core technology, if our Kickstarter is successful, your money will be used for:
- developing more polished contents and graphics.
- improving our user-flow and graphical user interface.
- implementing simulated animated physics for our heroes.
- developing a 4th hero.
- developing a 2nd arena.
- creating leaderboard and website user account access.
- improving our in-game chat and party system.
- making MoAR playable on PC, Mac, iOS, Android and Chrome.
- hiring animators, audio/visual artists, programmers.
- buying hardware and software licenses.
- releasing our first milestone contents by June 2014.

You must compete with other heroes for existence and to embark on an epic quest into the boundless void to save this crumbling world.
Unity offers an extremely agile and cost efficient solution to our multi-platform development, and it spared us tremendous amount of resources and time required to develop a brand new engine from the ground up and reinvent the wheel. It allows MoAR to be built with scalability. MoAR has the creative and technical foundation to incorporate future game modes and expansions. Most ambitiously, a multiplayer epic campaign storyline.
Most of the creative assets are migrated from our previous project, Boundless, a huge immersive role-playing fantasy game. We look to implement this epic experience into MoAR.

Our priority after a successful campaign is to recruit the developers and to prepare for production. It may take about 1 to 2 months to go through all the contracts and settling down to the office.
About 1/3 of the entire pledge will be deducted after a successful campaign: Kickstarter fee, Amazon fees, tax, and the physical reward production costs plus shipping and handling fees. We'll immediately put those amount aside in a separate bank account, so we can make sure we deliver all physical rewards as promised.
When our game releases on June 2014, you will receive all digital rewards while we place orders for your physical items immediately after. It'll take approximately another 2-3 months the soonest before you receive all of the physical rewards.
