a spiritual resource that believes:
- God is queer and marches with the black lives movement.
- God breaks down walls and welcomes the stranger.
- God feeds the hungry and tears down the powerful from their thrones.
- God is constantly revealing Themselves in new, creative, and scandalous ways.
Right now, Christianity is deeply entangled with oppressive and destructive forces.
You can see it every day. It's being used against and within us to deny bodies what they need, inflict violence, and deepen alienation.
enfleshed magazine offers, not only an understanding of God that directly confronts such destructive theology, but the opportunity to feed your spirit something far more nourishing so that you can
- practice with-ness when suffering abounds
- keep your heart tender and your courage growing
- dream dreams about enfleshing the Kindom among us
Many of us have given up on finding spiritual resources that speak to our needs, desires, or realities.
Too many Christian publications are mere reflections of cultural norms, projecting onto God what we already believe about each other and ourselves.
Progressive Christians who believe in liberation are incredibly under-resourced.
If you're looking for a spiritual resource that's different from the rest, enfleshed magazine is coming.
If you desire to be provoked into transforming your understanding of how the Sacred moves among us,
If you long for your faith to be shaped by voices and experiences on the fringes,
If you want to dig deeply into what matters most urgently today,
If you are in desperate search for faith resources that don't cater to those in power,
we aim to create the very thing you're looking for.
Each quarterly magazine will be rich with
poetry, essays, provocative material, images, advice, interviews and more centered around a quarterly theme.
enfleshed magazine is committed to quality. to beauty. to paying contributors. to content that challenges, inspires, nurtures, and connects.
We've got years of building deep and rich connections with brilliant thinkers, writers, and people living out their faith in radical and rich ways.
We've also got a lot of openness and imagination about who God is, what it means to be human together, and how it is that we can nourish one another as we face a planet in peril.
All you have to do is subscribe in advance. And share this with your friends so they can too. We are excited for the word to spread!

Risks and challenges
We've got excellent contacts in the theological, publishing, and writing world. We know launching a print magazine is no joke, but we're ready to take on the challenges with an excellent track record of making projects work, even in the midst of challenges. While it's true that many major print magazines have struggled significantly the tech boom, many niche magazines are thriving. We know our niche and are eager to provide something tangible and beautiful and rich. The biggest risks come up front - getting y/our hopes up - but we're in that together!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
