This deck is our take on the familiarity of iconic images from the nostalgic world of retro video games. We were not interested in the literal representation of certain characters or properties, we were simply interested in solving the design problems that occur when you transform familiar images into a different format... courts cards, jokers, pips etc. We found the results very interesting and it was extremely fun designing this deck... while reminiscing!
Suits... are represented by 4 different retro consoles.
- Diamonds/ATARI 2600
The Court Cards... were inspired by some of the most popular video games on each of their respective systems.
Why we run short Campaigns... Each of our past campaigns that were successfully funded, reached their funding goals within the first two days. We are not trying to raise millions of dollars to build an army of robot kittens. We just want to make a deck of playing cards, and we usually find an audience of amazing backers fairly quickly. If people show up late to the party, we usually have a handful of extra decks for sale on our website. Also, the faster the campaign ends, the quicker things move into actual production. Then before you know it, there is a deck of cards in your mailbox!
Why we print with MPC... MPC is an amazing company, and we've been so happy working with them. They know their game, and they can print and ship in under 3 weeks. Also, they do not have any minimum order requirements to get decks into production. It is a lot easier to raise funding for 250 decks than 2,500. Don't get me wrong, we love USPCC and other high-quality decks, and maybe one day we will have a project funded at a level that will allows us to print elsewhere. Until then, MPC has no minimum order requirements and makes a comparable deck that we can get to your doorstep in record breaking time. Cards are printed with MPC's 310sgm Linen card stock, and tuck boxes this time are printed with an Aqueous Matte finish.
If you are interested in uncut sheets or additional decks, please message us. We can accommodate most requests.
We've printed many decks that were successfully funded under our previous company name, Undefined Knowledge. Under our new company name Enfabled: Draw Blood Remix, Stained Glass Playing Cards Second Edition, and the card game Carry On were all successfully funded as well.

Risks and challenges
Our Production team is full of workaholics, and we know how to get things printed and delivered. We’ve designed and printed thousands of decks, and shipped them to every inhabited continent on the planet.
One thing we have been deeply proud of has been our ability to ship our decks usually within a month of the end of our campaigns. People have been pleasantly surprised with the turnaround time on our projects, and we are dedicated to maintain that reputation.
Despite our best planning, problems can still surprise us. Production delays are real and they do happen. Unless an exploding kitten blows the crap out of us... we should be okay. We have back-up plans for just about everything.
If we don't reach our funding goal, that would suck. However, with our past projects that came up short, we reevaluated things and figured out how to make them work when relaunched.
No matter what, if problems arise - we'll fix them. AND we will tell you what's going on. If you back this project its because you want a totally awesome deck. We totally want to make it. We'll all figure it out.
Other than that, we are happy to be campaigning again to fund another deck and hopefully we can all bring this project to life!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
