In January, 2014, we began recording a followup to our 2012 recording The Slow Suggestive. Our goal was to create an album from start to finish just the three of us, and aside from a guest musician on the first track and some words of encouragement from Wil Reeves, we met it... at least on the production end. For the last 10 months we've been writing, tracking parts, mixing, remixing, mastering, pacing holes in the floor, and losing a lot of sleep in our humble headquarters on the north side of town.
It's finally done, and we can't wait for you to hear it.
Recording an album takes a lot of time, and depending on how you do it, money. We sunk all we had of both into gear and mixing and toiling over sonic minutiae, and we think it shows. We've never been more proud of a collection of work than we are of this EP, and we want to release it on a physical medium -- specifically: vinyl. Digital downloads are fine, and we will certainly be offering them in myriad qualities and file formats, but we think this EP deserves better. That's where you come in.
It's a pretty accurate cliche that a lot of musicians live hand to mouth, and for the most part none of us are any exception. Kickstarter (and crowd-sourcing in general) has become a way for musicians to get their music onto these expensive physical formats without trust funds, rich parents, or (even worse) strings-attached fronts from labels. We don't have any of those things, but what we do have is an awesome album we think you should have in your record collection.
For $2500.00 USD, we can press this thing on a 12" with full color artwork done by Columbia, MO artist (and our dear friend) Clint Mcmillen (http://brainclouddesign.com/). This includes the cut that Kickstarter and Amazon take, as well as projected shipping/handling/materials for tiered incentives.
You can treat this as a preorder if you want, or you can treat it as a charitable donation.
Either way, we can't do it without your help.

Risks and challenges
There is an 8-12 week turnaround on vinyl pressing through United Records, but we've taken that into consideration with the projected delivery date for the rewards. Don't worry, you'll still get your digital download as soon as the Kickstarter ends (assuming it is funded!)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
