Plugged is a new breed of adventure game developed with Unreal Engine 4 for PC, MAC and Linux. We're calling it look-and-click adventure. On paper, it plays like a regular, old-school point-and-click adventure game, but the addition of 3D environment allows the player to immerse in the game on a greater level. One of the key features of Plugged is that it fully supports the Oculus Rift which allows players to use their own eyes and head movement to solve puzzles. However, the game doesn't require one to be played. It works just as good on regular monitors, and it looks beautiful:
Storywise, Plugged will feature a decision-driven narrative. During the course of the game you will be presented with many choices that determine the direction in which you're progressing and result in completely different stories. For example, the first decision you have to make is to choose between going to an interview for a job you need, and your wife doesn’t fail to kindly remind you of it, and a hotel rendezvous with your highschool sweetheart. However, you can always go back and try out a different path and see where it will take you.
A few months ago we set up a Steam Greenlight campaign with lots of screenshots, comments and discussion about Plugged. This was the main source of information, alongside with our Facebook page, where people could inform themselves about Plugged. Eventually, the community found our project interesting and worthy of their attention so we got greenlit! Check it out:

In a surreal atmosphere, our protagonist relives key moments in his life. He goes through a memory lane and faces, again, difficult decisions he had to make. This also means that he had to deal with the consequences of these choices.
Plugged plays like any other first person perspective game using your mouse for rotation and interaction with surrounding with left click, and WASD for movement. You’ll be in a completely interactive surrounding where you’ll be able to open fridge, wardrobes, oven, drawers, doors, windows, read books, switch lights on and off, etc., all in favor of completing a certain puzzle.
Once you complete a puzzle, you will be able to progress further on with the game and story. Every branching scene has up to two puzzles, each for a certain path, or a single large puzzle which unlocks both of them. There are some smaller puzzles that are optional and offer bonus rewards in terms of story and understanding of your character, but these require some more skill or a keen eye to solve.
Story revolves about making decisions and dealing with consequences. These choices open new and unique paths in player’s life which lead to everybody’s inevitable death, all with one of a kind finale. You start at a certain point in our protagonist’s life at which he wakes up from a rather weird dream and unveil your destiny from that point on. You’re already given a choice to either go to a job interview or meet your old highschool love. This will create two parallel histories which both lead to different endings of your life. Which means that our story is already split in two parts. Game will have these kind of two-sided dilemmas which eventually branch the non-linear narrative. Each ending will have it’s own conclusion with unique message.
These key points of protagonist's life always happen in a short manner of time, but since we're not strangers to using surrealism as our main narrative weapon, they might have taken years in reality. On the other hand, some of them were long and painful, but our story writer put them in a short but effective scenes.
To help improve the atmosphere, our composer put up with quite a few unique soundtracks that let you immerse in the game completely.
We're putting every dollar raised into Plugged's development (and reward fulfillment), while holding true to the game we've described. We have a very well put concept as it is right now, but that doesn't mean it can't get even better. We have some crazy ideas we want to see implemented but here are some specific ways we'll enrich the game.
Plugged has been in development for quite some time now, which means that some people have already had a chance to try it out.

Endtimes Studio is a group of passionate gaming enthusiasts, and combined we have more than 20 years of experience in game development. We teamed up to create games that we'd love to play and believe that others will enjoy as well. It was founded in 2014 when we gathered and started building our dream.
While still young, some of our team members have worked with Blizzard Entertainment, TakeOne studio - an animation studio who worked on the Witcher and Battlefield series, Games Workshop, Eipix Entertainment and many others. With all of our experience combined we feel pretty competent to deliver some really top-notch games, starting with this title.
So why Kickstarter? Why now?
So far we have managed to avoid finding publishers that might have helped us with funding our creative projects, and it turned out so good because we didn't have to obey to marketing rules and stick to well known financially proven concepts. We don't hold any grudges against other companies that do so, it pays the bills - we understand. Instead, we were planning from the beginning to talk to YOU, because this way YOU ARE OUR PUBLISHER, and we know that our audience is the best source of feedback.
This allows us to tailor our games so that it fits your needs and expectations, not some marketing agent's calculations. We are trying to expand our community through our forum, and from there we'll stay in sync with you, from concept through the execution of the ideas. This way it's only you who decide how our game should end up.

Risks and challenges
We're not making just any software here - we're making games. That means that everything needs to be absolutely polished and works flawlessly while still maintaining top notch art standards before launching the game.
Developing games often takes a lot of time and effort, but considering the amount of amount of effort invested in this project, we have absolute confidence about finishing the product. Years of experience, hard work and teamwork at Endtimes Studio proved to be more than enough to finish one such project.
