The Breath of Gorr is a Digital Boxless Module for Dungeons & Dragons: 5th Edition and Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. It includes all you'll need to run an Adventure! Players will take on the role of trapped prisoners aboard the Breath of Gorr warship, then set about exploring our new ruthless setting of Fanria, which is also included!
Along the eastern realm of Fanria, war drums roll over the countryside. Rumor says that the orc god of feasts, Gorr, has ascended the banquet halls of the Yawning Hells and united the scattered orc tribes under one banner: the Skall Nation. Once a mass of disorganized war chiefs and city states, the orcs of Fanria now have the leadership to rise from their squalor and eradicate neighbors.

The First 4 Pregenerated Characters
Here you can see the four Characters which come with Breath of Gorr - Damriel the Atrocity, Boggs Dragonson, Shaur the Hackpriest of Hosh & Skibbit the Bastard! Each of them have their own unique rules & mechanics, with no two Characters fitting into the same Role. Of course, we intend to create more Characters through Stretch Goals and Achievements!
“My father is the cracking earth, and my mother is the beast that walks it. My sister is the rolling ocean and my brothers are stars that raid the night sky. The Skall Nation has taken my family from me... all but my children. My children are my weapons, and they will do as their mother says.”
“Have you heard the war drums of the Skall Nation? The sound: carnal. The tempo: nonexistent. To the Skall Nation, the pulse of battle isn’t rhythmic—it bleeds, it convulses, and it rattles. The new rhythm devours the old, and the cacophany begins again. The song of Gorr is suffering like a snared swine, and I will help it die in peace.”
“Hosh is not merciful. Hosh is neither kind nor generous. Hosh is prideful, demanding, and a villain to many civilizations. Ask my God of Curses for help, and he may respond— if you bleed for him. I have spilled enough of my blood to fill the halls of Clan Shatter. I have seen the turncoat, Gorr, climb from the Yawning Hells. And I have heard Hosh knocking at my door... My blood is ready, and the hackpriest's knives are dull no more.”
"Always little. Always small. Tiny in hand and foot but not in brain and tummy! Eat with tummy and form with brain, not like Skall orcs. Not like Gorr cult or boo-boo vampire Shatters. Eat to build! Skibbit eat junk and puke up slag and build the maiden—the orc maiden of fists and armor and zap-zap-hands. Skibbit not the lonely bastard anymore. The bastard's got a bastard and these bastards mastered war.”
"The red ooze siphoning through the fountain is a coagulating phlegm, specifically the phlegm harvested from the dead orc in the solitary cell. The skull is from the orc as well. The blood patch is where the orc slit his throat to let the phlegm out."
“Gallant knights smoldered before my tyrannical breath! With my faintest exhalation, their horses blackened to ash and bone while their very armor melted to their skin. I plucked the rest of their forces into my maw, enjoying the crunchy delight as warm flesh spilled between clunky armor. The fires of Kunrakkis burn within me. Let’s see them burn within you!” (Arbonesh features in the Sample Chapter you can find here)
"Towards the front, the captain’s cabin is guarded on either side by two bloatguard, vile elite soldiers of the Skall Nation, each one a massive, undead, blubbery mess of an orc with bulbous, puss-marked flesh. The only thing stronger than their odor is their ability to hack enemies into a pulpy mess."
"A fat, bloated priest of Gorr skulks around the middle deck, ordering the goblins to cook faster or snarling other orders at the grunts. He tends to the fetid furnace as well as prays at the shrine."
"Diseased orc guards shove you down a series of steps, and they jeer about four new prisoners to be sacrificed to Gorr, the Feast God! You are thrown into the brig with the other unfortunate ones, a quick kick in your back sending you sprawling to the sticky, glue-like floor as the guards snicker."
"Some fresh bloatguard corpses lie in piles, waiting to be planted with bloatfly larvae and plunged into the ponds. The party can hide behind them and slowly advance towards the tent—but a bloatfly might land on them if they take too long!"
Location: Stryg Outpost
"The smell of rot hits your nostrils, though you don’t know if it’s old fish or Gorr’s festering orcs. Giant masts tower into the sky, and some of the ships are festooned with skulls and conquered banners. A customs house is the only structure along the swampy coast, and you can already feel the gnats biting at your neck. A green haze rises from the camp like the very ground is poison. In the center of the camp, an altar looms like a decrepit monolith for the glory of an evil god."

Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter campaign. We're new to this, and could face unforeseen challenges with the Project. We do feel confident in our ability to achieve this, and have a large team at EncounterRoleplay who are ready to assist us, as well as friends in the industry tooling us with advice and support.
We've decided to keep everything within the Project as manageable as possible to minimize potential risks. We're keeping everything digital, and 100% of the writing for the core module itself has already been completed. Well over 75% of the core artwork has also already been completed, and formatting of the PDF itself has begun.
Communication is very important to us with this project, and you have a direct line to the team via this page, as well as our email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will also be posting regular updates to our Kickstarter page regarding the production timeline.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
