Tendril is a new deck of playing cards, printed by the US Playing Card Company. It is unlike any black deck you've seen...

Paul Carpenter

1,011 backers pledged $41,648 to help bring this project to life.

Look! You made it real!

Yes folks, it has happened very quickly and Tendril has already been printed. I expect to have them shipped to me next week, so FINISH YOUR SURVEY if you haven't done it. If I don't have your info when I start the shipments you will have to way until the very end and you certainly will want these sooner rather than later!

Thanks everyone. :)

Well it's only been 6 days since this little update. :) Things are all on schedule and I should be getting the cards soon and fully expect that Kickstarter orders will be shipped before the estimated delivery time.

Could you please tell me the approximate date that this one would be released? I just felt a great silence recently...

Keith, the art prints are done, and the clips are cureently in production.

Cosmo, thanks for the kind words! I'm pretty happy with the deck. :)

Very excited about this deck! I was speaking with a fellow magician today who isn't much into cards (esp. collecting them), but he just LOVED these!

What's the status on the art prints and clips?

I talked with Paul when the project started, and he was really on the ball. He already had the work done before he started the Kickstarter project, and he anticipated possible problems with getting the deck printed and shipped, so his estimated delivery date was very reasonable from the beginning. I think that many of the other card project creators get told a timeframe by USPCC that doesn't include all of the pre-press work, and they don't realize how much time that will take. I suspect that as people do second and third rounds of projects, the estimated delivery times will be more realistic.

There is even the chance that these cards can make it across The Pond before the end of the estimated delivery :-)

This might by one of my few backed projects that will get me to before the Estimated Delivery time :D. Good Job!

Is there any way to be sure about the survey? I can't see it and would like to be sure I filled and what I filled in!!!!

I've purchased quite a few decks of the non-standard cards, the types you usually see in the hands of street magicians. But I'm really excited for these because you've gone a step further than those others, and I've always felt they could have done just a little more. Can't wait to see these and what you come up with next!

They look great and I can't wait to get them, just like Hannah i've never bought a non generic deck of cards!

    14. Creator Hannahbeader Sylvia McCallum on April 12, 2012

Wow, just like that. Here we were waiting and waiting and now, they will soon be on their way. I, for one, will be waiting for them to arrive with anticipation. First deck of cards I have ever bought that weren't just run of the mill old cards.
