6 months after releasing tidally delighting BEE EATER comes EB with a new album titled "A FISH OF EARTH": and it being such an album chronicling the waves and tides of joy and grief in long term relationships of all ilks. Rising and falling from the depths to the heights of that which touches all-- love, or "the sea," she sifts and sieves womanly experience and memory, songing and singing; collaborating in this fine afloating are Stephen Cope (Studio Studio Dada) and Stuart Wheeler (Quiet House) as well as musicians from all over the American State of Utah and further (to be named in their persons below); furthermore, she begs your participation in this Herculaean lift, that you will purchase the album ahead of its making, that you will set your course along with her for its execution and embodiment, wishing to see it made physical and realized in full as a friend of the true bone and body, and may we all find ourselves upon that shore in six months time, ever blessed, holding this record in our hands.
Being a list of persons which have sung or played or knitted or walked upon this record:
Sophie Blair, who bowed upon the viola
Patrick Campbell, who tapped and hit upon the drums
Gavin Ryan, who hit and bowed upon the vibraphone and xylophone and all manner of phones with soft mallets and stringed bows
Megumi Terry, who bowed upon the violin
Max Olivier, who bowed upon the cello
Lucas Deal, who blowed upon the clarinet
Dylan Schorer, who played (most beautifullly) upon the pedal steel
Nicolas Ayala, who fluted upon the flute
Madelyn Brown, being the sister of Emily, who did sing, and sing often and long before this with Emily
Jasmine Stack, who did sing with Emily many late nighted harmonious notes
Stephen Cope, who sang and played and strummed upon all manner of instruments
Stuart Wheeler, who sang and played and strummed and tapped all manner of instruments but other such ones as those which Stephen played
Emily Brown, who by her nature was required to perform upon this album being the singer and writer of the songs, she mostly sang and often did knit upon the couch while the other performers performed their great work and she did play with Blossom the kitten and throw her yarn about that Blossom might catch it
Cats both Blossom and Maude, who did sometimes sleep in the washing machine but sometimes did scuff and tap upon the ground
Risks and challenges
There are no risks inasmuch as we have made a record before and have great confidences in our ability to execute and create in a time appropriate to the timing which we have set, albeit we are human beings and our collaborators often being great companies of the technological bend, we set the risks upon them and their upheaving timing, timing which cannot often be timed, timing which may create great frustration, which we shall report continually to you as we receive such notices.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
