Quick Reading Version:
It's true at first glance the number does look rather large. But we have to take a look at all the components. Take that price and span it over a year. Then it has to distribute to 4 full time employees. Each of them need software to keep this game looking the way it does. Then there are other part time teams like sound design / music composition that have a huge impact on the quality of the game as well. Then a few of those prizes take time and money to deliver and create as well. That's just a tiny bit of what we have to take into account, so to do right by as many people as possible we really can't go under that. Tough for everyone on this front, unfortunately.
