Who we are ...
We are four guys who love working together and formed a consulting firm: http://musketeers.me/ - But our real passion is in making new web products & applications!
We most recently were the product team that built the social career management platform: mojoLive
Today we are here to get your funding for us to make a couple of great web products that we want to bring to life!
This is a web app concept based upon a common problem. The fact that it's really hard to look at a big list of items, and really decide (especially as a team), what is the most important item on the list.
Quite often when you look at a large list of items, you end up completely frozen, in decision lock, unable to really say which one is the most important to you. However, if you look at the list just two items at a time, comparing them head-to-head, it's usually fairly easy to decide between the two.
The idea of BubbleSorter is to automate that process, especially for a large team that needs to work together on this. You will be able to create a list of items, and then send it off for people to review, they will be given head-to-head comparisons of each item, and as they pick, we will use an algorithm behind the scenes to progressively sort them into a priority list for you.
This will allow you to truly figure out what really are the most important items on your list!
GridSorter is a similar product, for organizing your lists of items. It has a different focus. In BubbleSorter, the problem is that you don't know what's most important to you. GridSorter focuses on another problem. When you are able to decide what is most important, but it's not a simple linear list.
Sometimes, you need to sort items by more than one factor. Perhaps it's how long a task will take, versus how important it is. Perhaps it's how fun something is, versus how much money it will make you.
Whatever those two factors are, GridSorter will help you create a grid. You'll can then add and drag items between the two factors sorting them into the grid squares. You'll also be able to sort their position within each grid square. In the end, you'll get a better handle over your tasks & ideas beyond what standard todo list application provides.
So the plan that we had, when we were discussing these ideas with each other, was to build these two products at the same time. They share some similar concepts between them which makes this work better.
In the end though, we need funds to be able to make this happen! We need to be able to pay for hosting & development costs, as well as have the funding the afford the time to focus on these products instead of on consulting.
That's where you come in. By pledging money to us, you are pre-buying access/accounts on these services, and vetting the product idea for us.
We look forward to hearing your feedback, to making these products exist for you, and to see what creative ways you guys find to use them!
