ELISA PALOMINO-MEMORIES
In 2010 Elisa Palomino launched her own label, showing its debut collection in New York, followed by 5 consecutive seasons shown during New York, Milan, Rome, Madrid and London fashion weeks. This book commemorates these collections.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
ELISA PALOMINO-MEMORIES
Memories is the first ever book of Elisa Palomino’s work. This book is her story, and that of her mother and grandmother. It is the archive of her work and the archive of their lives. For all the hardships they endured, as well as all the joys, what we are given is the clothes. We move from exuberant, exotic largesse to painterly, harmonising delicacy; the tender flush of dawn and dusk. The book consists of photographs from Adrien Beau, Dan Lecca, Diago Mariotta, Elisa Goodkind, Gleb Kosorukov, Hugo Cámera, Jesus Amable, Juan Perez Miralles, Kévin Perré, Marcio Madeira, Mark Leibowitz, Nathalie Malric, Martin Scott Powell, Tristan V Christann and artwork from Antonio Pippolini, Anja Vang Kragh, Charlie Arnold, Daphne Karras, Gerardo Largo, Howard Tangye, Laura Fernandez, Oscar Visitacion.

ELISA PALOMINO- THE ARTIST
Since her graduation from Central Saint Martins, Elisa Palomino has worked ceaselessly, all over the world, for students, for design houses and for her own label. Among the most prestigious fashion houses, she has worked for Moschino, Roberto Cavalli and Christian Dior Haute Couture; she was Head of the Studio at John Galliano for 8 years, and, most recently, Vice President of Design at Diane von Furstenberg. Elisa brought the discipline and passion of her professional experience to students at Polimoda, Florence; the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen; San Francisco’s Academy of Art University; FIT, New York; Shenkar University, Tel Aviv; Since 2012 she has directed the Fashion Print Department at prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, London; where she is the Pathway Leader.
ELISA PALOMINO-MEMORIES-THE BOOK
Memories is a story about Elisa’s lifelong passion for Beauty. This book is a special tribute to the women in her family who have inspired her passion for beauty since she was a child. The book is also dedicated to all the wonderful people who have made this dream come true with their unconditional love and support, from photographers to suppliers, members of her family and friends. The book is full of memories like the notes of a perfume or a bouquet of flowers mixed from of all the women in her family and all the beauty that they have inspired in her life. When she works they are always present with her, inspiring every chiffon flowered dress, heavily embroidered gown or powdery oriental scent.

THE BOOK DESIGNERS
Elisa Palomino and Laura Fernandez first met in London when studying at St Martins and have stayed friends and worked together on several projects since. This book is a culmination of their complicity and friendship and is driven from a mutual wish to create a unique object of beauty.
CONTRIBUTORS TO THE BOOK
Through the design of the book we have worked with an incredible team of contributors. The introduction is written by Isaac Rayne, a colleague and friend of Elisa’s. The book features the photographs by dear artists friends such Adrien Beau, Diago Mariotta, Kévin Perré, Mark Leibowitz, Nathalie Malric, Martin Scott Powell and Tristan V Christann and artworks by Antonio Pippolini, Anja Vang Kragh, Gerardo Largo, Howard Tangye and Laura Fernandez. To complete the portrait of Elisa, the book also explores Elisa’s universe -her houses in London, Paris and New York, beautifully captured by Nathalie Malric, Tristan V Christann and Gleb Kosorukov.

MORE THAN JUST A BOOK
This book is an experience of beauty that reflects Elisa’s world. The production has been carefully sourced to achieve the really high quality of the pictures and portraits, capturing the exact colours of the originals. The printer and paper where carefully selected to work closely with the craftsmanship of the book.

WHAT DO WE NEED MONEY FOR
We are very pleased to be so far ahead on the project with the content and design ready. We now need your help to complete the project. By supporting this campaign you will help Elisa’s work come to light and support a new way of publishing. Self-publishing a book is an expensive thing to do. We have chosen the best printing techniques and best paper possible. The kickstarter campaign will allow us to produce the book and offer it at a very reasonable price. The printer is ready to start printing, the paper is ordered. Now we just need your support to start the production. We would like to thank you for reading and supporting us and we are very grateful to you for sharing this project with others.
WHAT REGARDS DO YOU GET AS A BACKER
There are many ways you can support our project. We have designed a selection of rewards and Elisa is offering both signed limited prints and some of original artwork from some of her illustrator friends! Your generosity is extremely appreciated. We cannot wait to see this project finally become a reality.
THANK YOU! Lots of Love / Elisa

REWARDS

Risks and challenges
It is really important for us to have the project ready to be able to meet all the deliveries on time.
Our budget is realistic and represents the minimum needed to fully complete the project. Everything has been taken into consideration, shipping included.
We have agreements with the printers, for the paper, and they are all ready to start the project. If the campaign is successful, production will start in March, for delivery in May. Everything is ready, we only need the necessary investment to start the production.
