FUNDED! Into the Stretch Goals!
This is Day 12, and we have passed through the target amount! Celestian Tales: Old North will be made reality, and it's all because of your support. Thank you! :D
Honestly, we didn't think we'd get here in such a short time. We've been preparing new arts, new animations, and new prototype features to celebrate the project passing through its goal, but it happened so quickly we haven't finished them yet. We're sorry for not foreseeing this earlier. Please accept a better-looking stretch goal art as an apology. :)
We received quite a number of feedbacks about those who wish to know more about the additional story contents listed on the Stretch Goals. We heard you, and here's a peek at one of them.
Howl of the Ravager
This story was originally conceived in our first Kickstarter campaign as a plot for graphic novel. As we restructured our working schedules, we decided to reduce all side-projects and instead focus our efforts into creating the best Celestian Tales experience possible. Therefore, in this second campaign we reiterated this story to be included in the game itself as a playable arc -- if we reach the stretch goal.
Early concept art for Howl of the Ravager, an additional story arc for Celestian Tales: Old North where you play as Severin Leroux twenty years prior to the main storyline.
Among the many legendary heroes of the Old North, none has a more fearsome reputation than Severin Leroux. A cunning and ruthless military leader as well as a fierce warrior, even his red cape fluttering in the winds brings terror to his foes, as the man dubbed as 'The Ravager' has never once lost a battle. When a threat that lied dormant in the Old North awoke once again, it was Severin who stepped forward to challenge the impossible.
Alongside Severin in this odyssey are Niena, an elven maiden who acts as a guide through the fey realms of the elven forests, and Pierre, a mute peasant boy entrusted with the Dyawendain, a sacred blade that can only be held by someone who has never uttered a lie. Howl of the Ravager follows the journey of the unlikely trio, each from a different origin and fighting for a different cause, yet united by a single threat.
Will they be able to work together to fulfil the task burdened to them, or will they succumb to the greatest enemy of mankind -- themselves?
We received a number of requests asking to pledge through PayPal. Since we've passed through the target, we can safely open the PayPal option. It's now available on our website and can be accessed here:
If you know of anyone who'd like to pledge for Celestian Tales: Old North through PayPal, please share them this news. We really, really appreciate it :)
These past few days our good friends running other Kickstarter projects have shared about Celestian Tales: Old North on their updates. Each of them is a great-looking project and we'd love to see them succeed as well!
Earthlock, a project by Snowcastle Games, is an original turn-based role-playing game set in a world of machines and magic, a world that stopped spinning thousands of years ago. The colours are just gorgeous!
Toby's Island, a project by Matt Beer, is a 2D RPG adventure involving monster-raising, town-building, puzzles, classic turn based combat & exploration. They're currently also in Steam Greenlight.
That's about it for today's update! As always, please don't hesitate to drop a comment here or send us a message. :)
Thanks again everyone, and let's reach those Stretch Goals in these three weeks!
