About this project
Lighthearted Theme - Join our enterprising cavemen as they compete to win favor from the Gods by building the tallest stone tower in the land.
Unique Mechanics – We've added an innovative card stacking mechanism to a modern deck-builder, thrown in a few twists that discourage deck-thinning and encourage direct player interaction, creating a game unlike anything you've seen before.
Meaningful Decisions – Players manage a delicate trade-off between buying, stacking, and throwing rocks. Deck construction continually changes as each player's priorities shift throughout the game. Effect Cards can greatly strengthen a player's strategy, but can also lead to unintended consequences.
Your tribe has found itself between a rock and a hard place!
It's the middle of the Stone Age; food is sparse, rain falls from the sky when it is least wanted, and conflict stews among the council of the elders. In an effort to better the lives of your people you have turned to worship. However, you're not the only one with that idea!
Neighboring tribes have started constructing monuments of their own, in an effort to turn the favor of the gods their direction. The race to the top has begun!
Each player starts with an identical deck of rock cards, which they grow by purchasing additional rocks and effect cards from the quarry. Rocks can be stacked to build your tower or thrown to knock down another player's tower. Effect cards can be used to enhance your attack, boost your defense, or provide other benefits. The first player to reach the top of their scoring track wins.
Deceptively simple game mechanics make Stack & Attack easy to learn but challenging to master, making it a great introductory strategy game for casual players and young gamers. Others will enjoy the elegant rules and interesting trade-offs found in our game.

We're pleased to announce a cross promotion with another great Kickstarter project. Stack & Attack is working with Havok & Hijinks to bring extra value and fun collaboration to both projects. We're pleased to include a special, Havok & Hijinks themed event card with every $25 pledge level and above. (Please note artwork is not final)
As first-time publishers, we wanted to prove to the world that Stack & Attack was a complete game before we put it up on Kickstarter. We built numerous prototypes and spent countless hours playtesting the game. We paid for all the artwork upfront and printed 100 beta copies of the game, which we sent to reviewers for feedback and sold to local hobby stores. We’re very proud of Stack & Attack, and now we need your help to take it to the next level.
With your support we can fund our first full production run and add even more components to the game, bringing the best possible game to the broadest audience. The money we raise will be used to develop stretch goals and print, package, and ship Stack & Attack to backers like you. We're very excited to have your support!
The EGRA Games team loves backing great projects on Kickstarter, having made numerous pledges over the last several months on our personal accounts. We are committing to continued our participation in the crowdfunding community by Kicking It Forward. To learn more about this initiative click on the image above.
We are also pleased to offer access to our game designers and creative team for podcast, blog, newspaper, or television interviews. Team members can also be present for conventions and event appearances with a timely invitation and appropriate travel and lodging expense allowances. Please contact Lead Designer Jeremy Burnham at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss any of these media support opportunities.
Risks and challenges
We've taken as many steps as possible to eliminate risks from our Kickstarter campaign. The artwork is complete, with the exception of stretch goals and pledge awards. We've already printed 100 beta copies of the game, working through various production challenges along the way. We used very conservative estimates for our production and distribution schedule. Most importantly, we've decided to enlist Game Salute Support for fulfillment and distribution, ensuring our game gets to you in a timely fashion.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
