À propos du projet
A Game of Lies, Betrayal and Questionable Business Strategies.
Control Alt Deceit is a 3 to 5-player card game set in the early '80s.
You attempt to take your tiny business into the world. Unfortunately, you're not the only one... and only one player can dominate the market.
Your friends will try to sabotage your progress, bankrupt your business and build a better business faster. Get ready.
How it Works
The Year is 1983...
Your friends made a terrible decision — They entered your market. Once every player is assigned an Unfair Advantage card, market domination can begin.
A great business needs a Product, Clients and Marketing; yours is no different. Build your business' value, raise capital, pile up competitive advantages and keep a little cash for defense...
Why stay quiet — Your friends should know who the true King of Silicon Valley is. Once you've bought a sweet helicopter and waterslides for the office, they'll know...
It ain't easy staying on top — The market changes. Your marketing team makes (epic) mistakes. Finances are sometimes hard to balance. Your investors don't always think you're the right person for the job. Tread lightly, it looks easier than it is.
There's no love in business — You'll be able to steal your friends' employees, trash them in the news and blackmail them into giving you the card you need.
Will you be Beta or VHS? — Don't get "Betamaxed". When your business has everything it needs to go public, it's time to IPO. If you can fend off the competition and stay on top, you'll win.

Important Information for International Backers / Getting the Game if You're Outside the US & Canada
Due to the wide variability of international delivery costs, the Kickstarter campaign is mainly available to backers in the US and Canada. However, a reward is available for Western Europe backers (The International Businessman). If you're outside the US or Canada and you'd still like to help make this game a reality, contact us at etienne@controlaltdeceitgame.com and we'll hook you up.
If you'd like to be kept up to speed with the project, pledging $1 to the Kickstarter campaign will register you as a backer, which means you'll receive a notification each time we post an update!
Risques et défis
The game mechanics are fully complete, but we're still working out the exact wording and designs. The main challenges we can see at this point are in balancing the card amounts and gameplay and adjusting the schedule to produce the stretch goals. Thus, we are working to guarantee that the instructions and gameplay are as clear as possible.
