Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Here’s how:
1. Start by pledging for a reward tier that you want.
2. Add the reward price and additional shipping cost for the additional rewards to your pledge amount manually.
3. In a few months, we’ll invite you to complete your Reward Survey. This survey will let you choose and confirm the additional Kickstarter reward items you’ve selected, set a delivery address, and add add-on items (optional) to your pledge. Then we’ll arrange the package and delivery of all your rewards correctly.
1. If your original pledge is early bird, the price of your additional model shall use the related Kickstarter Special reward price. We will try to ship all of your rewards at the same time and use the shipping time of your original pledge level. However, if there're too many early bird backers backing multiple models, before the delivery, we may need to contact you to confirm that you want us to ship all of your rewards at the same time or prefer to ship them separately.
2. For non early bird rewards, we will ship all of your rewards at the same time if you back multiple models using one account.Last updated:
Due to Kickstarter’s funding model, Kickstarter doesn’t charge backers at the time of pledging. Instead, backers are only charged for a pledge if the project meets the deadline and reaches its funding goal. Pledges for higher level reward tiers are subject to an authorization check, such as over $1,000.
Authorizations function in different ways, depending on a backer's bank. Some authorizations will drop after a few days, while others may be in place until the project ends. We recommend that backer's contact their bank for more details about their authorization procedure.
If you have any questions or concerns about the pledge payment, please contact Kickstarter Support team as soon as possible.Last updated:
When a project ends, Kickstarter starts a 7-day pledge collection process. If your pledge fails to be collected, Kickstarter will send you email reminders. Please pay attention to those reminders (with an email subject of “Action Needed”) and resolve your payment issues by November 28.
- Check that you’ve entered a valid credit card number and the correct expiration date.
- Make sure the card has not expired.
- Confirm that your billing information is correct.
- Make sure you haven't exceeded the credit limit on your card.
If everything checks out and your pledge still can't be processed then it’s possible that your bank put a hold on the charge. Sometimes banks will decline charges if they don't align with a card holder’s regular spending patterns. Therefore, as a final resort you need to contact your bank to ask them to process this charge before asking Kickstarter support team to process your payment again.

We will ship all rewards from the USA to backers worldwide using safe and fast logistics service, so this is not an EU Friendly project. Although rewards for the EU won’t be shipped from within the EU, EU backers do not need to worry about the customs procedure since goods will have already been cleared customs by logistics company and delivered to your address directly. Therefore, EU backers only need to pay import fees, taxes or VAT when receiving the reward. The import fees and VAT rates depend on the policy of your local customs office.Last updated:
Depending on the policy of each country, the package may be subject to customs duty or value-added tax when you receive your reward, and you will be responsible for the relevant costs. For US and EU backers, to learn more about the customs duties and taxes, please read the information below:
The amount of your pledge equals to the sum of your reward price and shipping fee to the country that you selected.
Due to Kickstarter’s funding model, Kickstarter doesn’t charge backers at the time of pledging. Backers are only charged for a pledge if the project meets the deadline and reaches its funding goal. That is, for this campaign, backers will be charged on 21 November.
However, if your pledge amount is relatively higher, such as over $1,000, your pledge is subject to an AUTHORIZATION CHECK. Authorizations function in different ways, depending on the backer's bank. Some authorizations will drop after a few days, while others may be in place until the project ends. We recommend that you contact your bank for more details about their authorization procedure if you are not sure about it.
Kickstarter will only charge your pledge amount. Since we do not include any customs duties, taxes nor VAT fees in the pledge price, these charges will be processed by your country’s customs office if applicable. You can calculate estimated import fees by contacting the local customs office or using some duty calculation tools online, such as https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/.

As we know, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative recently published a list of 3,805 products (Chinese goods) that could be hit with the additional tariffs. The list covers essentially all products that have not already affected by punitive tariffs. Unfortunately, the 3D printer is on this list. That means goods worth more than $800 will not be exempt from additional taxes. We are all hopeful that the tariffs go away by the time we ship out the rewards to you. However, if the additional tariffs were in place at the time you receive the goods/rewards, you are responsible to pay this fee.
The duty-free importation of personal-use may applicable to some US pledges. For example, if the declared value of the goods is under $800, it’ll be duty free.
To reduce the waiting time and improve the user experience for our users, we have been working with reputable logistics companies such as FEDEX, UPS and DHL. For this campaign, depending on backers’ countries, we will work with different logistics companies to ensure fast and safe logistics services.Last updated:
