I must admit I read this status as if you were shipping to the US backers "one day from now". Given today's news it's clear what you meant was they were being shipped to you, and hence it's not talking about when you will be able to ship them.
I was ok waiting longer than Christmas - but I think a better shipping schedule would help.
Didn't get a paypal invoice for the VAT either.
I filled up the survey accurately - just rechecked correctness.
But I was not an early bird.
Please give us an update with clarification if we should do something.
Thanks, and good luck with the logistics hell you are facing ^_^
Hi Dave, it seems like I haven't gotten the EU VAT invoice either. Could you perhaps give us an update on this? Thanks!
I agree. My most expensive handheld multimeter to this day I paid $35 for. And it has the four transistor tester holes... lol
frankly im just happy to be getting a meter, my first >$100 meter that i own outright!
and im glad to be finally not having to roll my own analog data logging device every time i want to log something
Dealing with reshippers they can be very fast (24 hour turnaround) or very slow (a month), if i had to guess because UEI is established in the USA, would be a week or less not including shipping to them, but who knows
Would be awesome with a clarificarion on who should have gotten a vat invoice. All EU backers or just the early birds.
@Bill, that's what you get from studying english for 9 years back in school, and then spending an incredible amount of time blabbing on the internet, and watching quite a lot of english movies without the subtitles. And also digesting way too much youtube videos. Lol!
But you should see how many of my fellow natives mangle our own language... *sigh*
I also selected to pay Paypal EU-VAT, but did not receive any paypal invoice yet, I am no early Bird so it is not urgent.
Hi Peter Larsen...just an interpretation of what Dave actually MEANS; the units coming to him TO HIS AUSTRALIAN WAREHOUSE have just left (probably from the factory in Taiwan), and are expected early next week. They will be unpacked and checked prior to reshipping to the Australian backers. I can't get over how great you guys all are at written English. If only native speakers of the language were as adept. (Dave, you meant "please BEAR with us", not "bare")
Ditto, no VAT invoice yet - did check junk folder too :)
I've not had my PayPal invoice for the EU VAT either - I selected "Yes I will pay 19% VAT up-front now for re-shipping within the EU. I will pay via PayPal invoice..." and provided my email.
Unfortunately, I did not get any PayPal invoice for the EU VAT yet :-(.
No PayPal invoice for me either. Don't see anything when logging in to PayPal either.
Never got that VAT invoice. How can we fix this?
No paypal invoice yet.
I guess that we who did not pledge for the early bird will get our VAT email later, like in march, don't we?
Hi, UK backer here, also haven't received my PayPal invoice.
I'm in the EU and I didn't get my Paypal invoice
I did not get email with PayPal invoice nor notification from the app, but when I logged in to PayPal invoice was there....
I have not been charged for the EU VAT yet. Probably this will happen in the days to come?
I'm in the EU and I didn't get my Paypal invoice.
I'm sure most of us that purchased this meter already have at least one DMM, but more likely more than one to use while we wait. I can't speak for others, but we should be fine as we wait for the 121gw to show up so we can show them off. I am excited to prop up my beautiful blue meter in a room full of bright yellow flukes at work.
Thanks for all your hard work and setting a new standard for professional and enthusiast gear...
I've received mine on the 27th to my Kickstarter email (which is different from my PayPal email).
Assuming that the invoice has been sent
I have not received a PayPal invoice for the vat :(
Nigel. If you gave your PayPal email address, then you should see the request in your activity list. However, obviously, if you gave a different address, then it wont show up, and your spam filter my mistake it for spam.
I also got no Paypal invoice for EU VAT. Also no email in my spam folder and no activity in my paypal account.
I also did not get a EU VAT invoice :|
Same here: no invoice for EU VAT. Can I check somewhere if I gave my email right?
Re. Allen's comment, if you receive a PayPal invoice, but it fails to reach you for some reason (e.g. it's in your spam) should it appear as activity in your PayPal account? I've looked in mine and can see no activity or waiting invoices.
Another thought...should the VAT invoices be coming out to all EU backers or just the Early Birds?
Same for me. I did not get the invoce either. But maybe that‘s because I am not a Great Scott backer.
I received (and paid) my VAT invoice on the 27th The invoice came from PayPal with the name Jonestronics Pty. If you have not received it, might be worth checking your spam folder just incase it endedup there?
Hi, some for me. I did not get any PayPal invoice.
Same for me (as others), have not recived any invoice from PayPal. Is it sent in batches based on backers level?
Hi Dave, I'm in the EU and have not yet seen an invoice from PayPal for the VAT.
Not the early bird but also didnt get a Paypal invoice despite filling in the survey.
I haven't received a PayPal invoice either.
i am also from Germany and got my Paypal invoice for the VAT 2 days ago. Maybe Dave can tell if the invoices all were sent out at the same time?
despite being an Early Bird Great Scott backer in Germany and I chose to pay the VAT upfront by PayPal, I did not yet receive the Invoice. Did you really send them out already?
Happy New Year! Juergen
A bit confusing - I presume you're saying you shipped the units to Australian backers today and they should arrive next week, and you're shipping units to US backers tomorrow but still don't know when they will arrive because you're not sure which secondary shipper within the US will be used or how fast they will deliver?
Anyway - I never expected delivery before Christmas - that just seemed way too optimistic.
Happy new year "down under".
