$79 backers are shipping

Posted by David Jones (Creator)

I've now shipped all the (99) Oz $79 backers (you should have got a tracking email), and have started shipping the overseas $79 backers in backer order. So if you backed early, yours will be sent first. 100 units will ship this morning, with hopefully another 100 later today, and so forth over the coming days in batches of 100 (manageable from a database and handling/delivery perspective) as more units arrive from the assemblers.

Note that there is no tracking available on international shipments.

For those interested, there was 1% failure rate at testing at the assemblers, which is not entirely unexpected as that is why they are tested to spec, because in theory I would expect some units to be outside spec.

Some of the many errors I get when importing the (already processed) database into eParcel. It's very picky about all sorts of things and I have to fix each error manually. This is why mailing houses charge a "database setup" fee to import your excel file into their shipping system.

Sagan is learning the business. I wonder when will Dave let him solder? :)

You should have had an additional limited quantity Kickstarter tier: the "Packed by Sagan signature edition". Have him sign (as best as possible) the shipping envelop in crayon. It would be fun to see pictures posted of the received envelopes :-)
